It is VERY disappointing that this documentary has not been shown in the UK. Why has this not been shown in any film festivals? I have all of her albums and been raving about her for ages. With all the push on women in the business, the ME TOO movement etc etc why has this not been more widely shown? What's the excuse? I have a great idea for a screenplay as she has a gift of a backstory. Well? What's going on? Doc n Roll is too small for such a musical genius.

Came across Judee when a DJ played 5 of her songs on the radio a few months ago. The question, "Why don't I know this artist... why don't we all know this artist?" blasted through my head. While it may not be the hookiest music all the time (JWaCM excepted), it's obvious that this was something that should have broken out and just didn't somehow. Reminded me of Nick Drake (not the music per se but that phenomenon). I'm really looking forward to this documentary.

Well hopefully they'll put it to you on KZbin with commercials so people can watch it without going through a bunch of crap . Some of us really don't want any of those other social media I don't want to be flooded with a bunch of stuff from them and so I really do hope they'll do the smart thing and if they really care about this woman and if they really want everyone to know who she is they'll simply put the documentary on KZbin at some point with commercials

Value wears many masks. What makes us happy is like cocaine. What brings us deep, abiding joy is becoming the best version of ourselves. I have the same problem as everyone else, my relationship with time is a bit wonky. Human intelligence is insufficient to tackle many of life's challenges. We need not explain beauty to enjoy it. The utility of understanding lies in its ability to improve our lives. There are many dimensions to reality. We filter to perceive. Any perceptual system that could take it all in at once would be God-like. We are creatures with variation. There is a spiritual component to life. Heath requires a fit mental, physical, and spiritual harmony. Success is not measured by income or how many people relate to your work. The fickle crowd follows fashion. Great work gains no purchase with common sensibilities. Often, it is discovered later and promoted by the curious sojourner. Culture is what you get when you concentrate ideology. I like the ideology of no ideology. Systems theory says the the health of the system should be the focus. This includes the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects. The proper integration of the id, the ego, and the super ego, along with the shadow is how we become the best version of ourselves. Although context matters, we do well to choose a healthy environment to operate in. Trouble may find you sleeping anyway, here we will need a bit of luck. Loneliness can only be defeated by love. The self in a vacuum is lost. Social communion can be heaven or hell. We have choice for a time and love for eternity. Profit at all cost sucks the life out of society. Value is hierarchical and multidimensional. It isn't enough to live, to live well requires wisdom. Cultivation? Not every nation has prepared its soil for a great harvest. There is no replacement for talent, luck, and determination. Some people forget about the future and dream about the past. The curious mind explores, the mediocre mind exploits. Love is not duty. Love finds its expression when souls are woven together. Being real is about your fit into the landscape. Watchtowers are for warning. Ivory towers are for authority. The light house tower is for guidance. The temple of the mind is not where the soul resides, it is too small. Be wary of easy friendship. Friendship is seldom easy, a real friend is scarce. Is a half hearted effort better than no effort? It depends on the outcome. You might thing we need many brilliant minds to tackle a difficult problem but that is only true some of the time. The eureka moment is often fueled by luck. Living by your own rules is pseudo-guru behavior. Quiet desperation is the gray man navigating through chaos and stupidity.
