At 4:58, you’ve waited on the zig zag lines, was that obstructing the traffic behind you coming from the left of you? I am wondering if I stopped like that on a test whether the examiner would think I’m a hazard to other road users 11:20 as well, you’ve waited at the junction opening , so wouldn’t the examiner feel I’m obstructing traffic trying to come out and perhaps go in the opposite direction? Having failed 3 tests so far, I question everything 😖

This is so helpful, I really like the description on acceleration sense and highlighting passing places, I have walked down Abbeville Road a lot of the times and I can see how taxing it is to drive through as its very narrow with parked cars and gets really busy, particularly at home time as its close to Bonneville School! Thank you!

Good stuff. The steering technique you use at 10:29 I use the same too but my instructor thinks that I’ll be marked down for that with a driving fault. Any thoughts with that style of steering?

Hello, thank you for this wonderful video on meeting. Very useful and well explained. I've been putting into practice what you teach. I have a slight off topic question. How do you get the speed, revs and gear Get Licensed animation? Is it based on data from your dashcam? How do you do it? It's so cool.

The problem that I have with meeting traffic, sometimes I feel I don't have enough room and the driver instructor it's telling me yes I have room, and sometimes I feel I have room and the driver instructor it's helping me and say no you need to stop. Why it's this happening?

I failed my test and got marked on road positioning. The tester said in the residential areas, I stayed out for too long. However, I didn't want to weave in and out when there's another obstruction ahead so of course I stayed out for the whole time. OK I changed my ways and try to stay in for as long as possible, and I failed another test again and got marked on anticipation. The tester said I should've anticipated and moved out earlier when I see a parked car. Fudge, whatever I do they pick faults.

If you are going down a road, and there is space for two cars,meeting, and you hold back anyway, is that a fault on the test?
@GetDriving5 жыл бұрын
Hey good question it depends on the situation. If you totally misjudged the huge gap and braked hard and confused the car behind then probably a fail. If the gap is really small where you'd have to squeeze thru and you waited that would be ideal.

Quick question one thing I struggle with is if there is enough room to get through sometimes as you'll all know it can be very touch and go, so I tend to slow down and sometimes even gently slow to a stop if it's couple of cars coming through. However once or twice cars behind me have given me a bad time! Even if the oncoming cars thank me haha 😅 it's a strange one as the car behind must of felt there was enough room to get through. Did I do anything wrong or was the car behind just being impatient? Meeting traffic situations is definitely the most scary for me since passing my test. I also hate side street parking between two cars haha 😆 any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍

Hi Francis, that was a fantastic video and well explained. I had a question however surrounding meeting situations. At times when you are on the main road and have parked cars on your side with the opposite flow of traffic having none or a couple of cars, in what situations would you hold back and in what situations could you still go but slow down? This is all in mind of the fact that there are no passing places when parked cars are on your side predominantly.

Hello when I approach traffic lights or junctions I am unsure if I have stopped on a really slight uphill road or on a flat road so when I set off sometimes I stall when it is slightly uphill, do you have any tips on how to differentiate whether it's slighty uphill or flat?
@GetDriving4 жыл бұрын
It honestly just comes with practice! Once you get the feel for the clutch in your car, you will easily be able to determine what force you need in order not to stall. You got this💪
