Use a cork screw. After 2 hours with clips and needles the cork screw worked right away. It's a hard metal and curved.

EASIER WAY !! - get a small self tapper screw, put in sim card ejector hole. tighten slightly until thread has gripped and then you have something to grip and pull it out.

i pulled mine that way, but the sim card was really stuck so the tray broke and now the sim card is stuck inside with pieces of the tray. I did it gently but it was hanging in there for some reason and "snap".

This comment is the correct approach. You need to grip the tray. In the video where he says he tried to 'pry' it open was the wrong approach. You only went too deep and you're likely to bend something that makes the little cover jammed in worse.

Use a tac with the colored plastic handle. Push in to get it popped a little, it won’t look like it popped but it does ever so slightly. then angle the tac to pry the holder out by pulling out. Keep prying it will take a few times and mine popped out. Mine was broken/cracked too. No need to take phone apart.

i really hate these modern sim trays. i have 3 phones and on every single one it has been stuck. luckily on my cheaper phone the sim tray is made so cheaply that i can simply get it off with my finger nail but it doesn't come off with the actual sim tray tool. 😃edit: oh and 2 these phones didn't even have a sim card or sd card and still it was stuck. 😛

That’s crazy. When I made this video I didn’t think it was a common issue. You saying you had 3 phones this happened to is mind blowing to me. I found the pin tack the be the best method for me, some people say a corkscrew works wonders. Thank you for letting me know that. I might make an updated video on this.

You could also attach a screw to the sim tray opening and than pull it with a pliers. On fact those screws inside the phone are good for it

Yea it used to be so much easier with older phone models but now it is near impossible to do. It is almost as if they want us to resort to this method which a lot of people could mess up and end up damaging the phone so they need to replace it altogether. So unnecessary

I have xperia xz. My brother accidentally put the sim card without the tray. Little did i know that he forced to get the simcard using nail pusher. Although he succesfully remove the simcard i was mad as hell coz my sim was already broken all my contacts was on there and its all gone just like that.
