Such a shame to see that the BWF and PBSI have done nothing to rectify the issue. Up and including suspending the umpire and revoking the licenses of the medical "professionals" who were the primary "healthcare" responders.

I'm surprised there are no examples from LD in this video when he's a god at changing pace.
@nopetynopety2 ай бұрын
I think the godly thing about LD is his anticipation and that something related to someone's IQ, i think. Plus aside from LD, I think momota's example is better for this vid because his playstyle is like textbook 4 corner rally style taken to extreme.

lin dan is walking on the court. control at its best
@osukasuyi18252 ай бұрын
general trend is junior players getting old and then they cant run as fast and keep up their attacks so they mature to playing slower and controlled games. Same with most regular non international players start out as singles players and then when they hit university they all suddenly switch to doubles.. the game is hard and ppl getting old. look at lin dan and LCW. LD used to be super dan. super fast and attacks aggressively.. then he got old and slowed down.
@ShawnLallJD2 ай бұрын
It’s not just that. Explosive movement generates way more wear and tear on the body than slow and controlled movement. LD was better off playing slow and controlled as he got older because his body couldn’t recover like he could back in the day.

University is at 17-19, LD was still insane in his 30s. I pray for a world champ in his 40s to finally debunk this myth

I got into a match where my opponent used punch clears very effectively, however i dont see pros use punch clears much, how so?
@doritosp18532 ай бұрын
I think they do. If you watch the pros when they intercept a back court shot without moving to the back court, it usually is a punch clear. You see these more in women singles, but men singles use them as well. I think maybe is the camera angle these pro matches usually used are harder to tell the angle of the shots and their speed
@letatkhoa2 ай бұрын
They use punch clears a lot if you see the match from court side view
@saichourey99382 ай бұрын
they do but the opponent is also good so we think this was easy to pick but in reality it was a punch clear

Their reaction time is really good and they’re trained to counter punch clears, the pros don’t really do it since it’s more punishing then rewarding

@vhbyt79632 ай бұрын
what you can start doing is practice...... but the most important of being a control player is that you need a goal a really specific goal if you just want to make your opponent tired that's a specific goal if you want to kill there footwork put some trickshots that us also a specific goal if they are low on defense but bhigh on offense make them late to the shuttle so that you can do offense. all of them are specific goals and I think that's the most important thing a control player should have

So based on what you say, it's just impossible to defeat a control style player who has a fast footwork, good deceptive shots and high quality smashes. Which explains why nearly no one can beat Momota, Axelsen, LD, LCW and CL. They're all-round players.

Control style is basically you controlling the shuttle to make your opponent move around the court. Objective: Tire them out.

and how to change pace of a rally
@rando1212 ай бұрын
If you want to change into fast pace: play flat clears and nets somewhere near to service line. If you want to change play slow: try giving higher lifts , playing lobs, play to corners. Try to find your strengths and weakness and change pace accordingly. For knowing your strengths and weakness, play both slow pace and fast pace with a player : see which one you felt and got more points to score. Repeat the same with many more players before concluding.
