We must be together as brothers and sisters nobody is left out of our circle we have to have everyone leave no one out of it. People power is how we are going to do it we must rise up. This is not about making profits or business as usual. This is about our people and the people before us!

I am a white man who has watched my culture do it's utmost to disrespect mother earth and all non-european peoples for 500 years. I can only say that my heart is filled with hope and my eyes with tears as I watch this video. I see Idle No More uniting all of us who see the wisdom of indigenous peoples as our perhaps last and only hope for challenging the so called "Western Civilization," that has brought so much pain an suffering to this beautiful world we live in. The time is NOW!

IDLE NO MORE feels so right to me and so timely! I am 100 % behind this.. The time has come!! I am an immigrant woman to Canada of European decent. I am in wonder of the aboriginal ways. You have so much beauty, most amazing traditions and wisdom, healing rituals and ways. U have so much to teach us!! I am grateful, in awe and wonder of the beauty of the natural world. She is our mother. She seriously needs to be look after ... There is a lot of healing and work to be done by all, Together!!!

People, This Idle No More movement is a good thing. This is not about Theresa Spence. This is an opportunity for Unity. Think Occupy with help from "Laws" that protect the environment. We need to work together. No more stereotyping, no more racism, and no more idling. We can make a difference for future generations, so that they need not be run by the rich.

I agree 199% however its Five year's later ,Im from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada and in the 5 year's there hasn't been one Idle No More rally or march ,No one is left that want's to organize everyone think's its okay to like or hit dislike , or share Tina Fontaine verdict came in ? And no one rallyed ? One incredible young lady rallyed at the Winnipeg legislative building for 9 day's with little help or support However the support the soaring eagle camp got was there we needed more whatever happen to Idle No More Winnipeg is those day's gone into the history book's ? Will Winnipeg or the world ever see another Idle No More march .I guess time will tell

This makes me proud to be Native American. :) I feel it in my bones that I am one with the earth, & would help anyway I could to keep it the way it was meant to be. I'm proud of all the elders that came out to support this and even more proud for the young people too. :)

I think it's great that so many people are standing up with an important message. I'm sorry that you are slightly inconvenienced but you need to realize that you live in a democratic country. Standing up is our job as citizens. P.s. congestion is caused by people and their addictions to cars - not by protestors!

Like I said , for those who were able to protect their culture from being erased , they understand more about the past than we give them credit for. I'm not talking about the majority of them , I'm talking about those who have been protecting and sharing a knowledge from generation to generation passed from mouth to ears in the hope that one day this could be said without fearing retribution or extermination. This day is coming

They represent a light in the darkness , what I kinda find sad , is that before Ottawa moto divide and conquer I do not know for english side of Canada but I do know that in Quebec Native people and Quebecois used to be brother and close. Those in power didnt like that. And now I understand from where my connection to to native people come. You killed Louis Riel , if the same rules apply that mean that I hold within me part of who he was. Damm I feel so proud suddenly

If you happen to ever go to British Columbia and take the time to appriciate native art and culture ( Somehow it survived in Britsh Columbia , Canada ) you will notice that without any formal link they have the same type of art than the art used by the Maya and Inca. When I say they suffered a lot I really mean it. A war was waged against them to erase everything they represent. They still hold and protected fragment of our past against a system that would just like to see them disapear for what they represent. I'm not getting into the details of why native american have a tendency to disapear more often than any other people. I leave that aside because it would serve no purpose at the moment. But those aware of what has been done will understand that I know exactly what I'm talking about on this case. Yeah you understand perfectly , for the curious people that would like to dig more on this. Read on Belgian Congo history and horror that have been commited on the population living and watch the videoclip from Rockin Squat named Le Pouvoir Secret and you might understand or atleast begin to.

we should stand up for what we believe in more often. A law was passed in the united states that we could be retained any where for any reason and no one protested-this is against the constitution. Any time native people stand up people get mad. Don't we have a right to fight for what we believe in. Don't we have a right to be a people. I think martin luther king and other strong men and women in the united states fought for us all to have rights not just the European americans. Hear our voice.

Val S. the old lady telling the story. let's say she's 90. her grandma was 97 she said. so at maximum, 187 years ago there were no white men in America. the war of 1812 never happened. 150 years of fur trade before the war never happened. hahaha I just can't... 😂😂

We matter too. We don't exist in the museum we are living breathing people who deserve respect just like everyone else. Im absolutely sick of it always being black and white. black and white are colors of crayons the human race is much more rich and more complicated to that. I wont be simplified. I will stand up and be recognized.

such a waste of a beautiful culture! I think we should all be working to help the indigenous cultures to be restored! We can't speak of freedom, of democracy when we are living and exploiting a land that witnessed such a big injustice!
@Kioooi11 жыл бұрын
But we white people don't strip any culture, culture is something you bring up yourself, white people don't have much culture but some do,some cling to the little there is, so how can you say that? Some white people view the earth the same as your peoples, but if everyone did this the system would crash and burn, millions of people would starve, people cant take care of themselves so we give them money for it. We need the system it makes such great things the computers, the new technologies?
@SiouxSyndicate11 жыл бұрын
Agreed! (I will use an Barack line for this)..yes we cancan!! Rise up
@getgroundedtv11 жыл бұрын
Sorry...but have to make a few points here... First off, we white people stripped culture through residential schools up till the 90's. Telling our first nations they were savage people and needed religion and our values to make them civil. In many cased with such abuse that the damage is taking many generations to heal
