My Carbon Monoxide Detector Keeps Beeping Every 30 Seconds

Hey!! Thank you so much... have 3 in the house, and one by one they were moving on to Carbon Monoxide Heaven... wasn't too concerned with the first one, but then... the second, and third.. they lasted (same brand as you showed in your video) nearly 9 years... but I didn't realize they had a life span, ... I should have known that, but your video gave me some peace that we are safe in our home, and just need replacements. Thanks again

thanks for posting this...put an end to a long night full of mishaps (when it rains it pours ya know) and fortunately I figured out from your vid what way to gently move it off the holder rather than breaking it off of my ceiling.

Last night my carbon monoxide detector beeped and I thought it was the doorbell at 4:30 I thought it was weird I went back to bed then I heard a voice I got a knife and went around my house and then I went in my backyard I heard another voice I opened the door to see what / who was saying and I heard “Hey there, The carbon monoxide is getting higher” and then I called 911 and they said it was dangerously bad and said thank you for having a alarm or you could of died the reason behind this is the power was out and I was using a generator I frogot that it has to be 20ft away from the house IT WAS 2 FEET FROM MY HOUSE and it was right next to a vent so yeah lesson learned

I have 2 of the Kiddi type. One went off last week and they made us leave for a night. Cannot be sure where the gas came from. Only 2 places, generator and gas logs.Now gun shy, but there is a good chance the detector saved our lives. Not interested in any other brand. Some do to much and bring about confusion. Location is also confusing. Ours was setting right on the hearth, where they say not to have it, but it worked.

Five feet from the ground. Carbon monoxide detectors can get the best reading of your home’s air when they are placed five feet from the ground

My alarms data manufacturer was September 26, 2014 and today it is July 9, 2024. Almost 10 years no wonder it’s beeping 😅

Our Kidde C02 detector is only 2 years old and will not stop beeping every minute after putting a new battery in it. Not sure what to do now. It’s not that old.

@ I put a brand new battery in it right out of the package and did the same thing. So phoned the Kidde help line and the guy was very helpful. Instructed me on doing some tests while he was on the phone with me. He seemed to think it was the unit that was defective. So he is sending a new replacement since it is only 2 years old. So should be here within a couple of weeks. Thanks for your reply. 😊

I have a. Garrison and it keeps beeping 2 beeps I've had it about 8 years. Garbage now I'm guessing? Changing batteries didn't do anything

i will never buy another Kidde detector stupid thing waking us all up to tell us it is ten years old instead of just a light to say time to replace detector it has a display that reads 000 normally i have really old ones that i keep in garage and boiler room those still work. but they had to be stupid and have alarm sound to make you replace it.
