I think we have to remember that steph and Kristen aren't car people. So they don't have any attachment to the cars nor could they likely tell the difference. The car pulling up at the end of the movie was a Nissan Skyline GTR, which is Brian’s signature car. He’s driven it consistently in the movies since 2 Fast 2 Furious. That is indeed Brian pulling up to the house; not Jakob. As for gripes about Mia, I can kinda understand. Her character has always kinda been the “girl in the chair”, and the love interest. And frankly, she’s MUCH more connected Brian as a character than Dom. Without Brian there, there is something somewhat missing with Mia. Up to this point, she’s never really taken an active part in any mission, as she’s usually been relegated to being on the computer, or looking after her kids. It’s really a thankless role. That being said,‘I totally appreciate that the movie/franchise acknowledges that Mia is a Toretto herself, and I loved that she took an active part in the mission, even in Brian’s absence.

Timing in art is everything. F9 and F10 were gonna hit theatres back to back, just in time for the franchise's 20th anniversary. The pandemic pushed back the filming of F10 and release of F9. Justin Lin's returning as director for F9 was as good as expected. Story, action, humor and adding more characters (old & new) just couldn't be more exciting. With most of these sequels, you have to turn off your brain. Crazy stuff goes down and you just have to roll with it. The self-awareness was far from expected and very funny. The milestone brought out so much love from the fans who kept up (including me). A tried and true, love letter to all of this phenomenon. Fast X (2023) is a monster of a film from director Louis Leterrier, some newer castmembers and also pulling things back to earth after that overly crazy 'flying car' moment. I still want Hobbs & Shaw 2. But the Fast Saga itself ending with 3 films (maybe) instead of 2 is more than i think we can handle.

First off I love it when Steph and Kristen are together. They play off each other so well and as so much fun. I can see some comments about the Skyline GTR which is Brian's car. That is just an iconic import car for Nissan lovers and is a shoutout to Brain in the franchise. At this point of the franchise, the over-the-top action feels more as if kids with Hot Wheels and other toys just said "Hey, let's put that into the movies". The characters I feel who need more screen time are the Tokyo Drift crew. I know they weren't a favorite with the film came out but it was the first step closer to the import car culture and the introduction to Han (Team Han). If it wasn't for the beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, they could have gone into the franchise with more spin-offs. The Shaw family having their own films is a great idea too. It would allow for more international culture in the UK or European countries we get little of. Mr. Nobody has potential for so much more as he's mysterious and perfect for plot development and exposition throughout any of the films. Loved this one but the weakness was introducing Jakob Toretto to me. They had to retcon so much with the early film and introduced so many plot holes with him added. I enjoy John Cena overall but it raises questions now that the Torettos have another brother. Such as, where was he when Dom had to be on the run with Mia during the events of Fast and Furious? His family had to run from the law to Brazil and he couldn't try to help just because of Dom? That's what get me. Can't wait for the next reaction and please have Corona's ready. A drunk reaction would be fun lol.

I think the problem with Ramsey is that she's just female Tej. He wasn't a fighter so they gave him random fighting skills to separate himself from her. Then they made it so she's not a driver like him (he used to be a racer that stopped racing after an accident). So now she just rides in the car with him being a 2-in-1 person. Hopefully Hobbs & Shaw 2 happens but this time is Hobbs & all of Shaw family together. Then 1 more film with the entire family helping out & meeting each other. Back to the main franchise I was for it to continue but I’ve enjoyed how almost every film has play apart & linked to the other films.
