The colour grading, the music, the cinematography, it's got incredible vibes. As long as you don't look at the plot and the *tons* of alarms ringing too closely, it's a fantastic movie. It had so much potential, but Meyer just had to write the most Mormon of stories and relationships. One red flag after the other. The premise and the characters honestly could have made for a great story.

Robert Pattinson sings the song, Let Me Sign, that plays when Bella is fighting the venom after being bitten. He lucked out to have that song and another track Never Think on the album after sharing a CD he made with costar Nikki Reed, and she shared it with the Director. These films, soundtracks, and books will hold a special place in my heart because it was a bonding experience for me and my sis-in-law. IMO the movies get better as they go along. The lore for this franchise is vampires are cold and solid (compared to marble) so they break and crack during fights. Their eyes change color based on feedings (amber when full, black when hungry, and red when eating human blood), so Bella zeroed in and questioned his eye color in their first chat. His eyes were black the day she first went to the chemistry class, so he was trying to hold his breath for the whole class, but Rob didn’t quite pull that scene off without looking possessed, lol. Also Jacob is sharing his tribes history with Bella because he thinks it’s all just myth and stories, not truth. He also just wants to talk to her because it's something she's showing interest in.

the glittery skin was very unique when it comes to vampire lores. as far as i remember, the reasoning is that their skin becomes diamond like. hard, cold and indestructible… and it made them look prettier and the dynamics romanticized. 😂

Bella whether she realizes it or not is forcing Edward to take responsibility for his actions when she tells him, "I trust you." Now it's on him not to attack her. Of course he could any time. He tells her to stay away from him because he can't control himself, but she turns it around and places the responsibility on him because he's the one with superhuman strength and speed -- it really is up to him to control himself.

Well in the book it took months and multiple encounters of the two of them the pull and push relationship so it’s kinda make sense that she trusted him, he saved her multiple times and tries so hard not to hurt her. In the movie everything happens too fast so that it doesn’t make sense.

As a middle-aged man when this came out, I couldn't stop bashing it. Then, after years, I actually watched it. Liked it a lot! And I liked the sequel even more (me and a dozen middle-aged woman in the theater in the middle of the day, midweek). Not every movie is as good, and don't really like Bella, but very much enjoyed the ending of the series. Read the book and hated it, though.

I find the glitter skin interesting because of “buckyballs,” a flexible form of diamond. If their skin is that diamond tough, and it appears to be, then each pore would refract sunlight the same way diamond does. And in most vampire lore, their chosen human and they have an intense emotional connection; in some stories, the human can actually die if the vampire leaves. I think the author drew on all of that.

Twilight will always be a favorite. My family n I when to the movie theater to watch the last one, and when I say everyone in the room all had the same reactions n was thinking the same things while watching. Made me realize how good it is. Everyone gasped at the same time; every time. The end had everyone in a chokehold. The room was very reactive.
