Great video👍. I need to get to the cables at the back of the mmi (2017a5) just to give them a wriggle and check they are connected tight as mmi has started switch off intermittently after initialy going over a bump. Is the just a matter of dropping the glove compartment?

Everything can be adjusted, the only thing it may need a coding on the MMI box at the back of your car.

Hello, so I did the same thing with my Audi a4 b9, Acc and navi had errors. I installed a new GPS antenna now acc and navi works normally again without errors but now I have other problems. Traffic jam assistant no longer works and any security malfunction. The airbag light is also on. What should I do. Sorry for my bad english. Thanks

hi, i'm having the similar spec of audi a4b9 as yours. is it possible to directly swap the small 7" center screen to the bigger 8.3" center screen? (the 8.3" center screen that comes with the virtual cockpit)

Not if you want to replace the screen, then entire panel as you have seen has to come off

I just want to take that trim off to put some felt tape. My MMI display resonates when revving at specific rpm

@@romqqayoutube3160 yes i did removed it without removing the grill. It's easy but you need some force and plastic removal tools. The resonation didn't 100% disappear and also the annoying intermittent "crunchy" rattle when driving (even on perfect roads) didn't disappear. So i had another idea to push some felt (just cut about 1cm felt that i've folded it in 2) near the display and upper dashboard trim (the soft one). I've pushed the felt in each edge (right and left) where the screen is blending. For this you don't have to remove anything and the felt cannot be seen because i've pushed it as long as it was hidden under the dashboard material. I can prepare a picture if it's not clear what i am saying.

Two pieces Audi needs to produce and I'll buy immediately: 1. A way to delete the distracting and ugly tacked-on MMI screen alltogether (just map it to the virtual cockpit when actually needed - in my case only when setting something or when entering an address to the Satnav, rest of the time I've got it turned off) along with a dashboard cover that would fill the hole. 2. A cover for cupholder.
