How old is the sister though? I don't think they said, but she doesn't look like that much older. If she's only a year or two older, then you can't really blame her for thinking it was nothing. The fact that he had never had charges pressed on him by their parents also says a lot about how they were taught to look at relationships like this. It was probably something frowned upon, but not enough of a big deal to step in and put a stop to.

I had to forgive my brother for sleeping with one of my girlfriends while I was dating her. It’s not easy, but let me tell you, if you forgive your brother/sister, you move on together and the cheater gets left behind. Forgiveness really is the answer no matter how long it takes. Now we are very close, we are both married to different people than we were dating at the time. He broke down and cried and literally got on his knees and said “if you can forgive me, then so will God.” So I forgave him and he’s been the best brother to me. Do NOT underestimate or misinterpret what forgiveness means. Just be honest and tell the truth.

When Cassandra said “you made me feel like I’m nothing,” i start tearing up bc I could relate to this girl. I’m 19F, I have depression cause by my own family. Since at a young age, I’ve been emotionally and mentally abused to the point I get scared to be in a relationship. And when I do get into one, the insecurities affect me so badly that I had to leave. I couldn’t tell if I just don’t trust that person or myself, maybe both to believe I am worthy, I am special, I am wonderful. I hope she get thru it bc Ik what it like to be in that Hellhole.

It's ok to wait but make sure everything is going good for you...I had some stuff happen to me in the past...back in 1992 I was dating this one girl whom at the time I cared deeply for, me and this one girl were having some issues so I asked a buddy of mine to help out and see what was wrong, one night they stayed on the phone for four hours and the next night for three hours, she broke up with me later that night, it hurt me really bad, me and him tried to patch up our friendship but it was never the same, I tried dating another girl but it didn't last, I spent two years crying over what had happened, in 1994 they both got married and it hurt even more. Today I'm a happily married man who has a wonderful wife whom I tell everyday that I love you, she is the reason I wake up in the morning and why I go to bed at night. In 2016 I found out that my ex girlfriend had passed away, even though I had let whatever happened go it was sad, in 2020 my ex best friend also had passed away, it was a shame that we all couldn't end our differences but I did my best to be respectful. @@kinzieley6990 it’s not easy but the reality of the matter is that nobody is gonna do it for them. If you can’t take care of yourself, there’s nobody to save you. I understand how mistreatment warps your brain. Regardless, if you boil it down to the essence, you either learn and power up or you get messed up and damaged, if there’s nobody there to fix and save you, it’s on you, you’re your own resposibility or you won’t make it. And they don’t make it exactly because of that. People need to stop using their psycologiacal problems as excuses. They are the cause but they aren’t an excuse to not do your best to get out or to change yourself so that you can get out. If you know you’re weak willed and you’re being mistreated, you need to rack your brains until you come up with a solution to it so that you can help yourself. This is the real world, in extreme circumstances, you have to think and act in extremes. They should at least take the opportunities when they’re being given to get out but often times they refuse it and as tragic as it is that they feel so lost, at the end of it all they’ve set themselves up for disaster by continuing to choose that prick even when they have the opening to escape it.

“drunken words are sober thoughts” my father left when i was 7. my mom moved her high school sweetheart in less than two months later. he’s an alcoholic, had been for 10+ years. i visited my father due to a court order, but other than those random weekends, he wasn’t involved in my life whatsoever. my primary father figure became a narcissistic, anxiety, OCD & PTSD ridden textbook drunk, my mother became an alcoholic too, the negativity took over, and no, it wasn’t pretty. my sister (9 years older than me) would take me over to her friends houses with her so i didn’t have to stay in the house with my parents. while hanging out with a certain friend, said friends younger sister (she was in high school at the time, i was probably in 6th or 7th grade) would straighten my hair, shape my eyebrows, and do my makeup, because we both really enjoyed it. one day, my mother and stepfather got into it, i heard something i shouldn’t have & i completely broke down to her. i told her how the words effected me and questioned how i should feel. she said those five words to me, & they haven’t left me since. always, always, always view the bigger picture, put all excuses to the side & do not ever settle for less. ever.

That last couple have both cheated on each other in the past thats why there’s no trust. Personally I would never try to work it out with someone who’s cheated before. I just wanna say about the first case that NO MATTER HOW bad the issue was she CONFESSED and it was genuine. Now if it wasn't a genuine confession maybe I could understand why she is so adamant toward her sister in not forgiving her etc. And she kept on saying "then why did you do it" over and over... look she messed up and she's confessed and told the truth about everything which is all that matter. She KNOWS deep down he's a scum bag & she just don't wanna leave him. She's still in love and blinded by that man she turned down a genuine confession. I can bet you she forgiven that scum bag & he is a liar but at the same time cut her sister off. That's what hate anger and spite does, it blinds & deceives your judgement. I just don't like the way Steve handled that case at all telling her to get off his stage instead of at least trying to get her to see the truth and mend the sisters back together with good advice. You don't shun and make light of a true confession like that... love covers and multitude of sins!
