Secondly, grandparents looking after their grandchildren tend to be taken for granted used and abused by their children; they think they can come and go as they please in the looked after child's life. Let's not forget that the grandchild's care is the priority, not his mother. Priortising the mother/father's needs is what has caused social services to leave children in abusive households.
