ABSOLUTELY amusing! Fantastic ! Great video, I enjoyed it so much that I had to watch it twice 😂

We've got the original Mackenzie 'Cabin' 6 and it's interesting to see what's changed - not a great deal, apart from the blackout rooms, the fibreglass brace pole and fancy opening windows. Still a back-beaking 30+kg which I hate lifting into the car, but the steel poles are reassuringly sturdy in bad weather.

Thanks for the video. I bought one of these and did not have a clue how to set it up. Watched your video and then had a go and I have set it up in the garden just before we go camping. Mind you my set up is not as good as yours but for a first timer like me would do.

Brilliant I've made mistakes similar to yours and yes its a good idea to pitch the tent at home (if you have a big enough lawn)before you get to the campsite especially when you get dozens of people sitting out side there tent and caravans watching 🤯

Just wanted to thank you for showing the fails. We've obviously watched the 'official' Coleman video, but we have a tiny London garden that is smaller than the footprint of the tent. Thus, our next camping trip with a gifted MacKenzie 6 may be good laughs for all those around us.

I always wonder if the person who wrote the pitching instructions has ever tried to follow them. I will never forget, pitching for the first time, a Vango Aspen on a windy Lake District site. People came from miles around for a good laugh. My marriage just survived.

There should be two instructions for pitching, one for calm non event weather, and the other one for windy to stormy. Pitched my MacKenzie 6 for the first time in a quite windy conditions. Started by reading the instructions and knew if I followed them the tent would take off into the sea. Am glad the tent was of the version where the ‘gable’ steel poles were pitched diogonally making the tent stand up much better to harsh very windy weather then if all the steel poles were to be pitched vertically. Started by p pegging down the end of the ground sheet and then temporarly peg the guy lines on the side facing the wind, then put the steel poles in the sleeves, and lastly erected first the gable diogonal steelpole facing the wind, and adjusting the guy lines on that end of the tent, and then erecting the next steel pole and, again, adjusting the ground sheet pegs as I went along. Worked out well and the tent stood its ground impressivly well. In short the instructions were rubbish for windy pitching! :/

Hi, thanks for this video, I just wanted to ask if the 2nd bedroom has blackout or is it just the main bedroom that has it?
@GetoutwiththekidsCoUk3 жыл бұрын
Yes, all bedrooms have the blackout.

@@GetoutwiththekidsCoUk nope. The second bedroom does not have blackout in the ceiling
