@@ericao2559 crazy thing is i grew up fishing in florida seeing needlefish everywhere but when i moved to new york in 2012 i havent seen any florida species except blue fish but last year i aas around breezy point in around brooklyn/queens n seen needlefish for the first time in the north i was sooo confused but so relieved that atleast other species migrate from time to time but mostly jus blues and striper nothing else really here in nyc

I feel your wife's pain, last fall I took a doubble dunk, the worst part is when I fell foward I lost the watch my wife gave me 2 xmas's ago. PS I still haven't told her yet, ouch. Love the mag darter dark and light colors, I collect fishing gear as a hobby so I do have a few of them.

That’s a clever idea. Our bigger rods have medical tape at the legal sizes for stripers. And so do our blackfish rods. Way easier and quicker than having to search for the tape measure. But I think I may adapt your idea...I like that better. Lol

They are thick by me now since i moved to new london County only about a 8 minute drive to Fort trumbull state park which has a pier and use the penn prevail you guys got me to buy and use saltwater spooks only about the ounce marker and only a tail hook in white and predominantly only fish for them now. And porgy. So thank you both. And congrats. And the blues are this huge by me and caught a total of 12 today and 2-4 about 2 days ago. With very similar weather as today for us, fog overcast very light wind minor chop on the water.
