Thanks for the fun reaction! Shut Down has so many highlights. I personally love the aesthetic of the "dancing rapper in the rain" scenes on the pier. If you like the combination with classical music, you should check out Blackpink's performances of "Pink Venom" and "Shut Down" at the "Le Gala Des Pièces Jaunes" in Paris. For Pink Venom, they were accompanied by an orchestra and famous cellist Gautier Capuçon. For Shut Down, they were accompanied by violinist Daniel Lozakovich. In between Pink Venom and Shut Down, the orchestra and Lozakovich performed Paganini's "La Campanella" (which is the song that is used in Shut Down). (The video uploaded by Harmonie Asie shows all three performances together.)

Its always fun to watch new people discover BlackPink. They are pretty HOT right now during their Born Pink world concert tour. The funnest part of watching is knowing 1) that you enjoy it and recognize the talent, and 2) at the same time realizing you have no idea what this song is about and how deep it is. You would have to go back to BlackPinks earlier songs to understand the concept of this song. This song comes after a long hiatus like 2 years away from putting out new music. The concept shuts down their older songs, see closing of the doors where the older songs are kept. It also calls out their haters claiming to shut them down as well with their great successes. There is a couple of dozen easter eggs in this video that give homage to the earlier songs, but you would never know it if you hadnt seen the earlier MVs. Good reaction. Classic violin solo La Campanella, just Google it. I guess their producer Teddy Park was tired of just fusing EDM, Rap, R&B, Middle-Eastern, Latin and Country, so expanded to fusing Rap and Classical instrumentation. I find single-genre music kind of boring now.
