Wonderful historic sleep story. I was born in Portland, Maine, and am quite familiar with Bar Harbor, its elegant history, and a beautiful current contemporary state. I used to overlook the harbor with my Mom and my dog, who have both passed on to another wonderful realm. I still feel their presence when I go to visit and hike the trail down to the beachfront as I did with my "Little Dude" so many times. All the fond memories, even when I was a kid with Mom and Dad(who also passed many moons ago), I will always cherish and carry ❤️ in my heart always. Thanks for sparking all my beautiful memories for, after all is said and done, that's what we all have left to keep us afloat. No one or anything can take those precious moments away from us. We are all truly blessed to have them for eternity. Happy trails! I would love to hear an episode regarding the Rock Mountains of British Columbia about 20 miles from Canal Flats, B.C. Around 50 of us from all ethnicities and backgrounds once planted 100, 000 trees there off a dirt logging road where my friends, dogs, and I discovered a hot springs left as is by the Indians as well as a sturdy logging cabin on the river (Looking Glass Creek) where we were blessed to stay for 3 months while working for a Canadian contractor whom had secured the tree planting contract from the canadian government to replenish a vast area destroyed by bug infestation. This was an unforgettable experience filled with trials, tribulations, danger, and drama that we all managed to survive and complete the contract. We were the only Americans who were on a venture from Vermont across the U.S. in search of hot springs in nature undisturbed. What a trip! Thanks again, Steve, for all your wonderful bedtime stories and filling in so many gaps of my travels. Another great story could be set in southern France, in a little village called Bagnerre de Bigorre. This is in the Basque country of the Pyrenees. Another 3 month adventure of mine living modestly with a french/spanish family whom I am still in contact with. A TOUT A L'HEURE! Just a few ideas as you requested. Happy travels, my friend.

This looks alot more like the 19th Century- the 1800s - maybe it could be like 1910 but surely a theme devoted to the 20th century would be more like the 1940-50s. What you have here is far more representative of the 19th century!

I hate to leave a bad comment because a lot of others enjoy some of these other narrators. Unfortunately, everyone but Thomas has a voice that totally ruins the calming mood for me. This was the worst. I hate saying that, but it's the truth for me. Unfortunately back to the same ones for me and they are starting to not work because I've listened to them too many times. 😢 Heart felt THANK YOU for what you are doing though. Insomnia is no fun. My worst was 4 days straight and I still went to work every day. I know people who have had it worse. It's extremely hard on the body. The mind. And dangerous when you do what I do for a living. So again, thank you all for trying to help us. Sorry I don't enjoy everyone's voice. I mean no offense.

I only got 3 minutes in and I’m pissed and agitated. There have already been 2 historic detail mistakes that had me googling to verify my information. All fibers were natural not manmade until the 1940s and the ice cream cone happened at the St Louis worlds Fair in 1903. Don’t make glaring , easily preventable mistakes. Now I’ll never get back to sleep. 😡
