@@Lissa.Same. I'll be 52 in August . I am the oldest of 4 . My sister was born the year after me so I didn't get coddled or read to a lot. I had to grow up fast. I started learning to cook when I was 6 and by the time I was 11, I had two little sister's and a baby brother to have to cook for, clean up after and babysit. My mom and dad both worked so I had very little of a childhood but to be read to now in my 50's seems to fill a place and healing a place in my heart.❤

I'm 48 and have never read or had this read to me. I am reading the book a little, then I go and listen to that part in the audio. I'm convinced lately that some stories we consider as "for children" can have so much value to us as adults. The child is forever inside us, and it's ok to indulge it as much as we can amidst our adult responsibilities. This recording is so comforting to me. I actually listen to it while I work at home at my computer. I'm a single mother who has been through so much hurt and heartache, and I crave simplicity and simple comforts. This audio helps to melt away all my troubles, if only temporarily😊

@@timhall1625 Children's stories are for adults, many times. Often when I read AA Milne (Winnie the Pooh) and other stories that were boring when I was young, I laugh now because they're funny. But when I read them to my children, they didn't laugh either. I think sometimes they were written to amuse the adult who is reading to the child. I love the Van Morrison song about Badger's son found at the gates of Dawn entranced by the great god Pan. Wind in the Willows is a beautiful tale and never grows old.
