I started testing back in 2018 because I was at a job position that required for me to get a state license so within a 3 month period I passed the science language and social studies. But right after that the company decided to promote me to another division that required a lot of traveling and did not need a license so I never went back to take the Math. Well now I own a small biz and work my own hours so decided to put some time apart to finish what I started. Glad I did because I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders it was just always in the back of my mind.

@@Dice557I’m the worst at math lol or thought I was. But he explains things so easily that it clicked at least for me it did. All I did was review all of his GED videos and paid attention to his tricks of how to solve the problems. Specially the calculator tricks, there’s only 5 questions that they don’t let you use the calculator so after those 5 if you can really master the calculator you’re pretty much golden. And not only did I look at the videos I would also write down the questions and work them out. I watched them all twice, so the first week I learned how he worked them out then the second week I would pause the video and try to figure out the answer myself. If I did it you can definitely do it!

Thank you so much for your videos. If it wasn't for you abs your videos I wouldn't have passed today. I have studied for 2 years and tried to pass. That is 3 math tests a year... I tried for 2 years that's 6 times failing. The last time I went for my math test I failed by 1 point and that's cause in watched your videos. I went back again and failed again by 1 point. I continued to watch only your videos and finally, I passed!!!! I believe this was my 8th try. For math. Your videos are the ONLY ones that helped me understand how to use the calculator and understand the math problems. Your voice and the way you explain things just clicked with me. There are so many videos for GED math on KZbin but you are the only ones who helped me score higher and then pass. Had...I found your videos 2 years ago I would have passed a long time ago. You have helped me so much beyond words can explain. You're truly a blessing in my life for making these videos. If it weren't for you...... I do not know where I would be. But.... Because if you......I am finally a ged graduate after so many years of trying. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

Many students lose faith after they get a 144. Especially getting that score twice and not letting that stop you speaks volumes about your fight and your commitment!! @yolandasession8158 👋. So I haven't been in school in over 20 years so math was my biggest struggle. We get 3 tries a year here if we fail. It took me 2 long years. I was scoring 128, then 138 and I was frustrated BUT let me tell you...... this man right here had made it so easy for me to understand. Just by watching his videos, I scored 144 and my passing is a 145. Yes, I failed but look at how much my score improved just by watching his videos. I ONLY watched his videos until I passed. The way he speaks in the videos and explains each problem made it so easy for me to understand. I knew I had to focus on the calculator and this man's videos taught me all I needed to know. I had NO clue how to even use the calculator until I watched his. Every test I took was completely different. One test had a lot of mean median and mode questions. One had a lot of the Fx and y and ab questions. But... everything he has in his videos is in the GED. I would watch his video and then take his quiz in the same thing he just taught on his website and see what I would score. I am still shocked that I finally passed but I know 100% that it was because of all his videos. Good luck and let us know how you do. 😊

@tevazile4524 omggggg, trust me, I know what you're going through. It's so frustrating. I cried and felt dumb but ... I found this guy's videos here and only focused on his videos and purchased my own calculator, and followed along. Trust me when I say if you learn the calculator, you will and can pass. I reached out to him with questions, and he guided me in the right direction with his practice pages he created on his website. So I believe it was on my 6th try for math I finally passed. Subscribe to this channel every day at least 30 minutes to focus on the calculator videos. Also, the way he words things when explaining problems helped me so much. For so long, I have watched so many videos, but his channel is what helped me pass. YOU GOT THIS!!!! Come back and let me know when you pass. Best of luck.

Just wanted to come back and say THANK YOU so much I’m officially a GED grad 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. I could NOT have passed without your vid’s. I was in a program that did absolutely NOTHING for me and held me back by making us go over material that didn’t matter for the test and with tutors that rarely arrived

your videos have been helping me so much! i was pulled out of school in the 5th grade by my crazy parents and knew nothing about math, and i never understood anything when trying to find others videos. someone recommended your channel on reddit, and i watched all of your math videos the day before my ged test almost knowing nothing, and i got a 143! two points away from passing, but i know what im supposed to work on now. thank you so much for all that you do. my next test is on wednesday ^__^

Even though I found before, I joined Reddit but it reassured me that I was learning from the right person. I find myself struggling with language arts, and I'm retaking the exam this coming Wednesday, on the eighth. Any advice? I also deal with imposter syndrome because I passed math on my first try, but I've had to retake 2 subjects else at least twice.

@@NeverBecky The math vs. the others are very different, so it makes sense that one of them is more comfortable for you than the others. It's also impressive that you're self-reflective enough to recognize imposter syndrome. It's one of the subtle things that takes away our confidence unnecessarily. You can acknowledge it, but also don't have to believe it. I made a short RLA playlist to help if you haven't seen these yet: kzbin.info/aero/PL6i4gkAHIYB-F7Hm1V4B1EcG8yMXpUh4_ I always recommend finding all of the questions about one particular paragraph or sentence first, answer those, then go back to answer the questions that take longer. I also wouldn't worry about the essay. Type out a sentence and just move on (cause if you leave it blank, it grades it differently). This will give you more focus and energy for the rest of the test. You got this!! 🙏🏻

another way that you can add/subtract fractions is by multiplying diagonal then adding. i'll show what i mean let's label the fractions like this: n1 n2 --- + --- d1 d2 so you do: (n1*d2)+(n2*d1) = the numerator (d1*d2) = the denominator here's an example: 3 5 -- + -- 4 2 (3*2)+(5*4)=26 (4*2)=8 the answer then is 26/8, which can be simplified to 13/4, or 3 1/4 the same can be done with subtraction, the only difference is that you subtract for the numerator instead of add 3 5 -- - -- 4 2 (3*2)-(5*4)= -14 (4*2)=8 so the answer is -14/8, which can be simplified to -7/4, or -1 3/4

You’re welcome! Try to focus on finding the ones you have practiced first, then you can work on the others. They’re all mixed together, so sometimes the easier ones are in the middle or towards the end! All the best!! 🙏🏼

@@annamay520 One thing that can help with math is to find all of the ones that look more familiar and skip the challenging ones at first. Sometimes the easier ones are in the middle or the end, but the difficult ones in the beginning or middle take away students' confidence. I hope you stay with it to get it the next time, you're soo dang close!
