Dylan, I said it before but I SALUTE YOU SIR for having the foresight to send in so many of your sealed collection to VGA/WATA before the industry got so insanely popular and thus had prices ratcheted up for future submissions! $30 versus $80+ today is huge! You are/were a visionary and that must be acknowledged. I for one never heard of this graded game industry until maybe a year ago, yet another thing I missed the boat on. Dude why bother working or worrying about a career?!? You got a large enough graded game collection to fund you for the next 10+ years hahahahaha. Interesting how easy VGA was on your submissions overall this time! Maybe they recognize you as a gold tier customer hahaha. Or maybe they really are no better than Wata in how disparate they can be when grading (especially with the titles that are not popular in mainstream). I kinda get it, any title that is well known (like Pokemon or Metroid) they really bear down and try to find faults in the game case and seal and do their due diligence. However for other titles they are more lax. Maybe I am in minority to think that but I can see that happening.

Hahah so long as graded games can average 20% gains for the next 20 years, I'm all set 😅😎 And it honestly really did feel like that. It could be that more expensive games go into a separate queue/have more veteran graders than the lower value stuff? Just tossing it out - I have no way to confirm or deny either way, it was just interesting which titles seemed to *not* receive any higher than my estimates vs which ones were 2 grades higher.

Cool! I have a bunch of the Milton Bradley sealed NES games too, I bought them around 12 years ago on ebay...I never completed the set though, I'm just missing Cabal, Jordan vs Bird and Time Lord. I haven't graded anything yet though they're still just in their flimsy decade old box protectors on the shelf xD Thanks for the insight on the grading though, I'm certain my California Games is an 85+ now 8)

Great video congratulations I submitted a bunch of games to VGA back in 2019 I submitted a bunch of Super Nintendo games and and a few GameCube games and to Sega Genesis games the lowest one was in my opinion the Sega Genesis Splatterhouse part 2 I thought it would get an 85 it got an 85+ GameCube games I thought would get a 90 and they were also 85+ and the one game I thought was perfect which was Killer Instinct for Super Nintendo thought that would get a 90 + but also in 85+ basically everything was graded 85 + my experience VGA is much stricter on their grades than wata grading.

VGA is definitely really hard to break into that 90 or above. It always has been like that, but yea, high grade VGA has def been harder than high grade WATA over the years. I've heard a lot of people say that WATA is getting stricter lately, so perhaps that will change!

Those matching grades on the DKC and DKC2 mean that you will have to PC them. Also complete the trilogy.

This shows MASSIVE inconsistencies between game grades. I agree with others that they may have been more harsh on the more valuable games and less harsh on the lower valued ones, which SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. The second you show inconsistent behavior as a grading company, that's when people stop trusting your grades and stop using you altogether. This has been pointed out on WATA graded games as well. I just have a bad feeling about this entire market at this point.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick VGA scale is RNG nonsense for a huge portion of it, but that's part of the nature of grading in general.

If it's a full black label copy, the Made In Japan should make it a decent amount more valuable. That's the current trend with other titles.

Can you explain how the “plus” works with VGA. So like what’s the difference between 85+ and 90. Is that a big leap?

The "plus" is just their way of doing a half grade, but at the 85+ you enter the "gold scale". Then in the gold scale, getting into 90, 90+, 95, 95+ are all very difficult and basically require "case fresh" games to do so. The 85+ will still likely have 1 or 2 spots of easily identifiable wear, but once you go to 90 and above, the games require a lot of scrutiny to find the small amounts of wear, if any.
