Fellow turbo protege owner here. As fun and quirky as the protege is I gotta admit you made a great decision. So much more aftermarket support for the st, newer tech, 6 speed etc. super exited to see what ya do!

I appreciate it. I actually had both cars for a few months but I always chose the fiesta. And it’s been fun finding all the cool mods that are available big or small. But the protégé community was and has always been super helpful and friendly.

Dig the FiST. Just picked one up myself earlier this year (I had one before though).. Also in the PNW, heh.. What wheels are those? They look like 1552's, but slightly different. Thanks!

That’s awesome! But they’re Compomotive MO1784

@@NoahGaebel thanks! I prefer it over the heavy 1552s. Hopefully I can find some lol

They definitely are not light, not sure what they weigh but they’re stout. I got mine off of facebook marketplace. Hopefully you can find some!

@@NoahGaebel yea I found the post on fiestastforums from the guy who originally bought them in OR. He got them straight from Compmotive in the UK. I emailed them. And yea, they're 20lbs. 2.5lbs lighter than the stockers in equivalent 1552s.

@@NoahGaebel They dont make them in the FiST size anymore... Any chance you're looking to sell yours in the future?

A few years ago I was tempted to buy a Focus ST hatchback. Ended up getting a Lexus Ct200h F sport, 45 mpg and very plush.

I love the look of those. Very cool and practical little cars.

@@NoahGaebel my mistake. Thank you for the info. The look perfect on your FiST! Can you tell me the model # and if they have a US distributor?

It's a great drivers car that communicates well with its driver. Don't waste your money on an exhaust as you won't really gain any noticeable hp and don't go catless as you'll LOSE hp with catless on a stock turbo. Many make this mistake. Use the exhaust money on a good intercooler, like one from Whoosh and a tune and you be pleasantly surprised with the results. If you have any questions ask away. I'm a former Motor Trend magazine Road Test Editor and have owned one since 2015.

Thanks for the info! I know that an exhaust is definitely not the best power for your buck but to me sound and experience do matter a lot. But an access port and intercooler are the first couple of mods I plan on getting. I just did an resonator delete so the sound is decent now!
@lordchromatic6193 Жыл бұрын
My opinion the exhaust really doesn't get any performance gains. Basically you're getting an exhaust because you want your car to sound better. Using the stock exhaust and chopping out the resonator or the muffler only makes it sound like shit. My suggestion Thermal r&d exhaust best sounding for our cars.

Yeah I actually just did a resonator delete and have really enjoyed it. For a daily driver it’s very tame and just adds a bit of noise and character. Barely noticeable in the cabin and especially with the windows up. I figured save money on not buying an exhaust and focus on the access port and intercooler. The thermal was and still my exhaust for the future. I appreciate the feedback!
