There are many different reasons for needing a feeding tube, but the common goal is to obtain nutrition. There are two basic types of feeding tubes. One feeding tube goes into the stomach. This is called a gastronomy tube or G-tube for short. The other feeding tube goes into the small intestine. It is called a jejunostomy tube or J-tube for short. Can you give me the difference between a t-tube and a tracheostomy tube. My ENT is telling me she wants to put a t-tube and take out mt tracheostomy tube. Thanks. God bless.
