I went to them last week too! It was my first time going to a Korean Hairdresser. Dean was really nice to me, even though he did have some things to say about my hair haha. I have noticed that most of the beauty standards are waaaaaay different back home. There they tell me that i have normal hair that’s soft and healthy. In korea it’s thin and pretty damaged. But! I had a very nice experience there and he’s very good at English! The salon is very beautiful and it wasn’t too pricey at all! I have seen some salons in Seoul that have a very high price but in the Salon of Dean it was the same amount I would pay back home! :) p.s. I had to giggle a lil about the symmetry comment, that’s so true haha

“My hair grows quick” - something I wished I could relate to but my hair hates me 🥴

(Im a 21 year old girl this is just my dads account haha) girl my hair use to never grow and then i started massaging it with argain oil (other oils can be good too) into my scalp and brushing it for some good 5 minutes every night before bed, i stopped tying it so much and also started doing an egg mask every two weeks (search for egg masks on youtube, its gross but it works WONDERS because your hair needs protein), also try washing it only 2-3 times a week. My hair grows superrrr fast now (ive been doing this for 2 years now but saw results in a month when i started), it grows so much to a point its annoying cuz i dye my hair blonde and have to get my dark roots retouched all the time...

Oh and also make sure you get annual blood tests done because lack of vitamins can make it grow way slower!

Check your diet you may need/ or be deficient in vitamins and put masks in your hair don't wash your hair so often unless you really need to. Trim the parts that are damaged. Remember long hair is prettier when is not damaged. Also using hot water too much in the shower is just as damaging as blow drying or using the heat tools.

You may have trichotillomania! You say at the beginning about pulling out your hair, I did it for about 8 years to the point of missing like 3/4 of my hair. But I think it’s important to know what triggers the habit and try to stop it before it could possibly worsen to the point of having bald spots!

I always just love seeing you get your hair done because it's fun to watch. I have been getting my hair chemically straightened since I was 21. It is thick, coarse, wavy and frizzy! I remember you visiting this salon in a previous video! It’s so bright and airy. I tried to get my hair permed when I was in Korea but the stylist said my hair was too damaged 😭 I ended up getting a major chop and a light brown colour instead and I am so pleased regardless. Shoutout to Captain Housae at Lumio ^^

cari cakes I’m glad too LOL though I have to agree with your comments re: it feeling a little impersonal there. One person did my colour, another washed my hair, and Captain H only did my cut while someone else styled me. It seemed very fast paced. The service was fine overall and I love my hair but I will definitely be checking out Dean’s place when I come back.
