Travelled around Scotland including the NC500 over many years,it’s beautiful part of the world. Did the 500 in our car stopping at B&B in September 2021.Travelling Europe for 6 weeks from 28th April sailing into Bilbao. Great updates and vlogs keep them coming you will love Scotland. We got a pet passport in Spain a couple of years ago for our dog - needed a Spanish address that we had at the time but the Vet only gave a 1 year rabies jab. The following year (11.5 months later!!) we were in Northern Ireland travelling the Antrim coastline and nipped into Southern Ireland (Dundalk - just over the boarder- didnt take long to get there) and obtained a 3 year rabies jab for about 50 euros…….thats our dog all sorted for 3 years ….😊

Go to the cave of bones, a short hike in some beautiful surroundings, overnight stay in the car park off the main road for a quiet night, we were lucky when we went we woke up to the sound of rutting stags and does just metres from the van.

Have you been up to the Moray coast before? We live in Lossiemouth and have been to some wonderful places. There's good aires in Findhorn, Cullen and the Glenbuchty stopover near Fraserburgh.

Up the east coast, just north of Aberdeen, you have Newburgh seal beach. I've never seen so many seals up close. Then further north to Cruden Bay. You should get parked down at the small harbour (Port Erroll). Nice walk from Cruden Bay to Slains Castle (Apparently Bram Stoker, Dracula inspiration). Further north between Banff and Elgin, you've got the beautiful village of Cullen. Stunning walk along the beach and up onto the cliffs to Portknockie and views out to the stunning Bow Fiddle Rock. Enjoy our beautiful country.

I remember in Scotland having weather of all 4 season in one day 0C to + 20C. The only items removed from my motorhome after a trip for more than a day are a laptop and folding bicycle used for getting to a storage yard. Hope to see you in some good park-up's.

Done very little of Scotland but the kelpies are a definite visit, also the Falkirk wheel is only up the road so that's also worth your time, we don't plan anything really and have forgotten loads of things, last summer five weeks in France I'd forgotten to take my driving license and also left my credit cards at home etc lol, in the past ehu cables lol. Anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍

Your advice on getting the Crit Air certificate finally worked, but I ended up having to do it on our desktop as mobile was having none of it!! Needless to say all sorted now. Looking forward to hearing and seeing your Scotland trip and the info on the campaign for British Aires sounds intriguing and will look into that. Getting to Europe from 2025 onwards is sounding less appealing with all the restrictions and issues they are putting in place, so touring UK is becoming more appealing. Safe journey guys!!

Hi Guys, glad your taking a trip to gods own country 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Just a couple of recommendations. If you go to Findhorn, which is about 40 minutes East of Inverness, there is a TFVCC Motorhome stopover, which we stayed at a few weeks ago. Right next to the beach and a dog friendly beach restaurant. £17pn no EHU but every other service. Then on Royal Deeside you can park in Banchory at King George IV park. It is free but no services. Further on the A93 you have a fantastic site at Ballater, but is quite expensive. Then up the road a wee bit is Balmoral Castle and you can park overnight in the car park for £10 Have a great trip. Hi - I have just found you guys - one of those nights I just cannot get asleep. You asked for recommendations of places to go. Not sure where you are but if you are still on the East Coast then Balintore is a must. If you go to the right of the village then there is room to park 4 vehicles on the front of the harbour. On the left of the village there is another large carpark where there is the Seaboard Cafe - at the side of this you have Black and Grey waste disposal (please give a donation). You can also take a shower and there is also washing machines there to use. If the carparks are full then you can also park at the front of the Balintore Hotel as long as you have a meal with them. The food and service at both eateries are first class. If you have already gone past Balintore then this may be helpful to other subscribers.

Kelpies are great also The Falkirk wheel and as previously said St Andrews is well worth a visit we also visited Stirling and the Castle and Jedburgh is well worth a visit don’t know if it’s enroute my map brain doesn’t always work that well Have a fabulous time we will be watching oh yes Oban is beautiful 🤩

We left Brackla on 31st March. Today 8th April we have not needed to overnight on a site. We have paid to use services when needed. Solar has kept us going even after a snow storm. We have supported local food shops en ruote. We did an overnighter in the Kelpies car park to see horses lit up, it really was magical. We are here for a month so if you pass someone frantically waving it might well be us. Irene and Mike

There is an aire just off the main road at Golspie, north of Inverness. Has a loo and I think a shower in the less cold months. We liked golspie, shops, sea, what else do you need? Have fun. X

Hi there. Loving your content. Sorry for long msg!!!! We live just out of Aberdeen and we would definitely recommend the North east Scotland beaches. Which everyone ignores and goes to the Nc500. There is Lunan Bay and and Red Castle Ruin. Our favourite is St Cyrus beach which is a Nature Scot site and you just leave a donation online to them. Nice big car park and at the start of the short walk to the beach. If you go right up to the north end there is caves (either park nor the church for your donation online again at St Cyrus looking over the beach. It sure if your van would fit in the few spaces there. From that spot you can walk further north on And see the waterfall when the tide is out. Also Visit Stonehaven and Dunnotar Castle a must. You might catch the puffins at Fowlsheauh,Crawton and waterfall. Miss out Aberdee but go to Fittie,it’s cute with lots of history.Other beaches up the coast are Balmedie,Newburgh Seals beach,Cruden Bay £10 overnight at the beach and the remote Hackley bay at Forvie. If you travel on don’t forget the Moray Coast (Sunshine coast in Scotland) so different and loads to explore with many great park ups. Enjoy your trip. Hope you get decent weather.

Having a chickle at the video. Empathising greatly as spending the last week preparing our van for another European onslaught at the end of the month. We returned from wintering in Spain at the end of January, and basically we walk away from the van and leave it alone. We've had enough😂. As you say after a few weeks we get itchty feet and after deciding a date, and booking the ferry, the clean up begins. Inside and outside plus repairs etc. Then its fill up with clothes, some food ( always mindful of our new brexit rules), pick out a few aires for our first few nights, and off we pop. Harwich to Holland for the first time, a few days in Holland then south with Venice as a first major target, ultimately to Sicily to finish our journey cut short by covid a few years ago. Enjoy Scotland, the NC 500 is fantastic( you cant really avoid it once north of Inverness) but the natives are getting restive as its becoming too popular. It will be interesting to see your views on it. Best of luck and happy traveling.

Hi guys. Just a wee recommendation for you on your trip to Scotland. Have a wee look at going to the Kingdom of Fife. Fife Council are motorhome friendly with a lot of park ups along the Fife coast some are free some are a small price. There are a few in land aswell. Hope you enjoy your trip the kelpies are awesome to see also the Falkirk wheel.

If you go from the electric brae towards Kilmarnock, just to the right, there's a village, called Moscow. Shirley and I went last year in our 1994 campervan, I had to take a pic, people didn't believe me that I was going to drive to Moscow, not my fault if they thought Russia. You could also go to Balquhidder parish church and see the grave of Rob Roy. If you know the story of Rob Roy

Good morning ! France is full of aires , both free and paid, Spain is pretty good too , there is always somewhere not too far, never needed a container , always dropped responsibly, many motorway services have free facilities, park 4 nights is a great app to assist in locating 👍🙂

@@redsgotravels That's great as it gives others some perspective on costs, if they do a similar travel 😉 It's a difficult one regards the house, like you we're not ready to sell up/or just don't want as we still want a base...but also realise it'll be costing us £325+pm in council tax, insurances, standing charges etc...when travelling, which we aim to do much more, than being at home. The cost of keeping a home in the UK is expensive, even when you've paid the mortgage off.
