Always feels good to rescue a machine from the dead pile. I recently was able to get my a Yamaha Kodiak atv back to life after sitting for 5 years.

Really enjoyed the video. I have the same tractor and am having vapor lock after about 30 minutes of running. Any suggestions ? Also seems like the hydro is not as strong as before could this be the drive belt slipping from the engine or the same problem you had?

Hey Bruce, the running issue could be a plugged gas cap vent. Hydro issue could be slipping/worn belt, or maybe low oil. That's where I would start.

Thanks for the information. I have tried the gas cap did not resolve the problem. Runs perfect when cold but after 30 minute's it stops. Getting spark. I see vapor fuel filter. Would a new Carborator help?

See vapor in the fuel filter

@@brucek5405 Yup, air in the fuel filter is normal. It doesn't usually affect the way it runs. Also make sure you have the right filter on there, some are for use with fuel pump equipped engines only.

@@randomwrenching thanks for your help. It is the original carborator could that be a problem? Or the gaskets on the carborator?

You sound almost identical to radio talk show host Joe Pags? Maybe you should be in radio.
