AC5 is connected to AC4, but its likely that the "destruction ending" is what is canon for AC5. As for AC6, AC6 is its own universe with its own rules on how armored cores operate and why companies are doing things. Sometimes armored core reboots its story after a few games.

12:10 Funny thing about that. When you piece everything together, it turns out Ending 3 is the best ending or is at the very least, the most Armored Core. After the Lynx War in AC4 the warring corporations banded together to form the new world government called the League. So the league, the corporations, do what they do to rule the world and more importantly for profit. The war is all for money. Line Ark stands in the way of this and were crushed. Ostdarva dies, and suddenly ORCA, a terrorist group, to bring down the Cradles. After taking Big Box, the League stopped fighting ORCA so that ORCA can do what they want. Wynde goes rogue and enlists the help of other LYNX to save the cradles. Wynde reveals that Maximillion is Otsdarva. When you side with ORCA Maximillion reveals that the resources and power keeping the cradles running is further polluting the planet, which will eventually reach up to the cradles and kill everyone. The corporations locked down earth with assault cells to prevent each other from profiting off space. Remember, the corporations are the League. Everyone in ORCA dies, and now that you're there, Maximillion places all of the responsibility onto you, the last member of ORCA to see the plan through. What this means is that it's all a set up. The League either made or planted their LYNXs' in ORCA. ORCA exists to be a scapegoat for all the horrible things that were about to happen. It literally doesn't matter which way this goes, those cradles were going down. Ending 1 and 2 are both for the League, cuz they either way it's a win-win for them. ORCA succeeds? Now they get to profit off space to new frontiers and war. Help Wynde? They get to rule the world still. A lot of the promotional material and at several points of the game, the question had been posed to you: What are you fighting for? And the answer to that lies in which ending you went with. Ending 1: *Wynde chose to fight for what she's been led to believe.* You and her save the cradles and stop ORCA for good. The cradles are safe to fly forever. But in doing so, you've doomed humanity to extinction when the kojima pollution reaches them...... oops. Ending 2: *You chose to finish what ORCA started.* Maximillion "dies" and shovels off all responsibility onto you, the last ORCA member. The one who's going to take all of the blame for downing the cradles. Plus you cleaned up the League's loose cannons too. Still though, it's not ending well for you. Ending 3: *You chose to fight the system* and straight up end the war. WHY is up to you. The Old King saw the righting on the wall and said, fuck it, let's shoot them all down cuz nothing is going to change and we're (as in ORCA) all going to die. So you do that an turn this into old fashioned Armored Core where everyone you know is trying to kill you for having ruined everything and sending you fake requests to do it. Yeah, it's pretty bad you killed so many people, but they were going die anyway. And so you and the Old King fight the League's top LYNXs, including Otsdarva who is particularly mad you ruined ORCA's name, and you survive that fight victorious. The League doesn't have the power to stop you and you go on to shoot the rest of the planes down. It's not the end of humanity, BTW. People are still alive on the surface. But for all intends and purposes the war is over. You are FREE! And you peaced out! lol And that's pretty much it. Also congrats on clearing Ending 3 your way. :D

Yeah the last mission really is you walking into your own execution, and they make it fucking feel like it. I tried that mission on hard mode so many countless times that I legit gave up on beating it for my own sanity. That 5v2 is fucking insane.

Think of the Armored Core games like Final Fantasy. Each numbered title is its own continuity for the most part, even if they say it isn't. 2 is technically a sequel to AC1 era, where mankind manages to colonize Mars. Verdict Day highly hints that it takes place in the far future of AC4, with the Spirit of Motherwill as a stage at one point, and J's final machine meant to be a salvaged White Glint. But it doesn't give any real plot relevance to these, and instead they are more just there to be easter eggs for fans.

@@ruikiri oh man going from the slow games back to 4A hard mode is gonna be a serious slap in the face xD Talk about whiplash. On the plus side, all the tuning points you get from hard mode REALLY change your movement patterns with quickboosting if you dive into any movement tutorials on KZbin.

Hell yeah! Now for a small lore clarification on Old King's talk about someone thinking they're "some kind of one man army" and "the right to choose who lives and dies". It's directed at them as directing the world as the ultimate force on the battlefield. This is better understood with AC4 including its opening cinematic. "In the myth god is force" in a sense the NEXT pilots played a sense of god. Some completely unstoppable. Soaring through as swift as the force of the winds themselves in great speeds untouchable. And any opponent or barrier dropped by the better bullets, felling entire people, champions, and even giants. They compromise their duties to humanity for their companies in the business of killing.

AC games aren't *really* connected, so AC6 will have nothing to do with this or any other Armored Core That said 5 is *loosely* connected to 4, and the world is... well let's just say Orca's hopeful future for humanity did not come to pass. The level of destruction and the legend of the "Dark Raven" told in ACV and Verdict Day point towards the Destruction Ending from For Answer being the "canonical" one

I was stuck on this mission for a long time, but after coming back to it a while later and experimenting with a bunch of setups for fun, I tried this mission with one of th fastest setups possible while still retaining some modicum of defense and dual blade setup. Can't remember if anything else but I never expected to beat it, but I did. Just random mash dodge everything and take a double blade hit where I could get it and before I knew it with barely any HP left I ended up winning. Makes acaf the only armored core game I've ever beaten.

A good cheese strat in strictly Ac vs AC is to switch to Reg 1.00 and use White Glint's missiles (SALINE05) with relation missiles. Those shoulder missiles in Reg 1.00 are ridiculously powerful against NEXTs.

Well given how I use to be back in ACFA, I've been thinking of trying the series. Because I use to do this 7v1 thing after I developed my last hyper build. I wanted q challenge. I wanted to be defeated so I could see my limitations and become better. I miss those days alot. But I will say that recently I have discovered a community that provides a means to play acfa on pc. Once I get that to working, I would love to do some pvp or coop with you. Maybe even teach you some of what I know

Armored Core is like Final Fantasy. Every generation of AC except 1 and 2 are separate and have nothing to do with each other.. 4 doesn't lead to 5. 3 has nothing to do with 1 or 2. 2, which takes place on Mars IS 1's sequel, which takes place on Earth. And references to 4 made in 5 (verdict day) are merely that: references. AC6 has nothing to do with the past games outside of sharing concepts, names and the usual jazz that Armored Core and Final Fantasy do. In Armored Core 5 and Verdict Day, there was no LYNX war or even NEXTs. Even though Verdict Day has a NEXT (final boss out of left field, literally) and the Spirit of Motherwill (secret multiplayer boss only) It's just like when Armored Core Nine Breaker (3rd gen) did the same thing with Nine-Ball. OR when Last Raven (3rd gen) had parts that straight out of AC2 and AC1.

@@ruikiri the whole point of the game is to experiment and try with different parts .... especially in this game .....the variations were amazing but oh well .....cant wait for the silent line videos ....and also .....idk if you knew this ...but there's schematics in the game ......after you beat the ac pilots in the arenas ...you basically get the blueprints for their ac's .......you could've had whiteglint's ac or any other parts....i mention those cause they're really cool and have amazing animations .......maybe you should make a video on that ... there's still alot of time be4 ac6 comes out

well both :D while I enjoy the games, there is always a certain "push" to go for what gives you views because thats just how a channel works :/ its not fun if you dont have people watching, commenting, etc... but sometimes that means you HAVE to be up to play something... and this isnt necessarily related to The Game Itself... but when you get home from work and youre tired, sometimes you dont feel like doing anything, but you NEED to feed the KZbin channel xb you know... even though it Is fun to play games for a living , there are days where it will still feel like a grind, but thats gonna happen with anything that you turn into your job! i am still thankfull for the opportunity though and will keep grinding :D

Thats normal mode. You were playing it on Hard where your own operator fights you as well.
