@@somebirds9910 im not sure, but you can buy an external disc drive.. where to get them? Probably second hand stores at this point or whatever shop is still selling ps3 games.. i dont think you can buy a digital copy anywhere :/

i finally got to play this game, just today i've arrived at that same area you're at now, i'm totally lost, there's so manny paths and confusing things in this game, i kinda love that to be honest, it makes me feel like i'm trully lost in a mega structure...but this game does have an issue with balancing, some enemies just have too much health for no fucking reason, i don't mind if they can inflict a ton of damage, it's alright i just got to avoid it but with a massive health bar? it just get's annoying for no good reason, they should tone it down a bit, like those big guys with dual axes, fuck those guys fr.

Man your BFF vids are a blessing, really glad to see this game back on the channel again! However, I just realized I've seen those robots (you know, the ones that take only one bar to destroy hopping onto their backs & using Mobius blades) loooong ago... Then I found a vid around November 2020 (!), with a (supposedly) cut open area and those robots roaming around in the open (although I feel like they were waaaay bigger back then), and the whole level just screams stealth (haha, now that's an impression) & horror with long grass, scary ambient noises, rainy weather, and darkness all around... Impressive stuff, the sense of scale was stunning there. AFAIR the game had many re-iterations along the way, and from what I remember said area from Nov 2020 never made it into the shipped build, so I just wish we could access old alphas, betas, and other cut/pre-release builds just to be able to feel the game evolution ourselves & compare different stages of its development firsthand. You know, like we can with Stalker games builds.

@@ruikiri Me too, the whole thing is still such a solid mix of things I love the most in games, literature & other media! Although being able to just launch & wander around old (even unfinished) levels, and builds of the game would be amazing. It's that feel when you don't need a game to play on a regular basis, but a level to chill & vibe to, that would be so good... Something to launch every now and then to relax, to admire the gorgeous scenery, and devs' gigantic (yet left cut) ambitions and stuff (all of which I totally dig & respect!), etc. etc. Ah, sometimes I wish I could just stumble upon a github repository containing all the released builds (private ones or not, doesn't matter) of that game which could also be positive for preservation & BFF project history sake, haha.

@@davidfrancisco3502 its got a lot of customizability and gameplay options, like being able to turn on or off seamless transition between levels, if you want unlocked attacks to follow the camera or your character, swimming can also be locked or unlocked from the camera... but im not too familiar with the quality of life options in lotf

I believe the Paladin Mace can kill ghosts, and also you can crouch when Plague Nemesis does that spin attack and you won't get it if you stay still.

Paid $35 for this on PS5 and been having a blast with this game. I had one glitch on the 1st day it dropped but been fine since. Its also good that you can travel to any previous save point for exploration.

I checked the game again recently and it looks very different. In a bad way. Like they dropped it into bleach or something. The entire gloomy atmosphere it had is gone. Also - ability points? What?

@@madeofnapalm yeah the colors in some areas look weird, specially the blok. The ability points are old at this point but yes they replsced the gems stats for s more traditional rpg leveling system, you can still put gems in your gear, they just do diffrent things now..

@@mattgreim5778 you have to find "handler echos" that are spread throught the levels... theres is only one per area, but the areas that might have them are kinda random, (there is a total of five and you get the first one from konrad, but the other ones do not come from bosses) so explore and when you find a echo all you gotta do is go talk to the handler and she will be able to upgrade to a new level :)

Bro I have been playing for a few hours today. Exploration feels like dark souls 1. Boss fights aren't great but I don't care. Just wandering around these gigantic levels is so nice. I'll watch this video a lil later when I'm done for the day

Played on PS5 on release, loved it ! You guys should try the "Shield mastery" perks with the deflecting damage upgrade. Blocking and perfect blocking inflict damage making the fights so much more proactive. Pair it with the "duellist" and upgrade "no penalty on staminina regen when blocking", one handed sword (Whiplash is awesome) put on armor every "attack swing increase" stones and you got yourself a Sekiro knock off. Finished the game with 165% speed while blocking every attack so satisfying

@@ruikiri to finish the build, put the "combo" perk upgrade on the skills increase. Lastly "Zealot" perk upgrade it to 40% damage on skills with a stack. And now you perfect block everything and do insane damage with whiplash or Heavy strike

I cannot stress how important stamina is in this game! It is by far the most valuable perk you should level up! It makes you swing faster and makes your stamina recover faster and due to the cane being very slow you literally become like flash in a slow motion world! I highly recommend anyone playing this game to invest heavily in the stamina perk! (Agility)

I also recently purchased this game and I have also been greatly surprised at how much I end up enjoying it, however this is due to the fact that it is highly highly influenced by the manga Blaine! If anybody knows that manga you'll know what I mean if you know you know, it's basically like you're playing the blame! Video game we never got! I look at it like I'm Killy in the mega structure!

Tbh I tried this game at launch and hated it, but I gave it a chance on ps5 and now I think it's overhated XD. I'm actually loving it!! I love exploration and can forgive quite a bit of jank (I also loved Hellpoint, similar vibes). For 3 devs it's really something special, the world and atmosphere are amazing. And combat is... ok, it's fine lol. The weapons and build variety are really fun. Great vid, really enjoyed it! Also, s on dodge are what got me to give it a chance again lol

I got to the end, and was completely turned off. The final boss fight is ridiculous. There's entirely too much going on at once, and you can't pay attention to all of while trying to attack. Also the Plagued Revenant fight was bs, I almost beat him twice. Only to either be dumped on by adds, which he spams adds to much. Or the stupid techno he casts that wipes you out in 2 hits. If you could spec higher than 25 levels it would probably be better. Sucks giving up like that, cause I really enjoyed the game up until those 2 fights. Maybe after they fix more of the bugs and clunkiness. I'll go back and give it another go.

Try sheathing your weapon more in between combat. Think of it like snapping the lock on to get a more accurate hit in DS2. Makes the combat a lot more manageable Thanks for the video. Been loving the Bleak Faith videos, I finally just picked it up myself
