I LOVE baking! I love following recipes.... I love love love measuring everything out. Baking is so much fun for me my biggest thing is I have to do it alone even though I was in the kitchen with my mom when I was growing up she taught me how to do everything. I love just listening to a book on tape and just being able to measure everything out be in the moment and enjoy it I love baking so much.

my husband has been working from home since the pandemic hit in 2020 and its been wonderful to see him for lunch! he transitions back to the office next week and I am really going to miss him, even if it was really hard to figure out him working at home at first

Sorry to hear about your rats. Also, don't worry about your baking struggles. I consider myself a fairly good baker, but I still managed to screw up a batch of Christmas cookies this year when I forgot to add sugar.

I love twinkly lights and even more so since I got the kind that have an inbuilt timer - they only seem to use one set of batteries for the whole season, in the last couple of years 😃 Previously I constantly seemed to be buying and changing batteries, which bothered me. Your idea to modify the kitsch fireplace is genius 👍 How different people are - I will always gravitate to apples at any opportunity!

I am so, so sorry you guys have to go back into lockdown. Although, on a ridiculous side-note transition, I love that your mayo comes in a squeeze tube. Mister Husband is part-Dutch, so I've adapted and now love French fries and mayo. Baking is also a big hobby of mine and I think I can help you with your brownies😉 If I saw correctly, it looked like your batter split a little bit? That may be from over mixing. When you over mix your batter, the fat separates from the rest of the batter, so mixing until just combined is a good idea. Anyway, hope this helps and Merry Christmas!

next week I start prepare my christmas dinner. Homemade but going into freezer becoiuse from sweden and ours are eh alot. Allsaw just come home from visiting my bf in Netherlands. had luck that during weekday and able to go really early was not that mutch people in your fantastic gardencenters. It's exactly the other way around for me. I am pretty good at cooking and kind of have "a feeling" for it, I even make op my own recipes. Baking on the other hand... 🙄 whatever can wrong will go wrong for sure.

Your wooden cutting board is crying out for some oil! If you oil it up regularly with even just plain mineral oil it will keep the juices from absorbing into the grain which will in turn be much more hygienic by not allowing bacterial to form inside. Just an FYI in case you didn't know. 😊

I should try making kimchi sometime, or at least my own sauerkraut... I eat sauerkraut (hapankaali) straight from the box🙈Rich in vitamin C! Potato-kale mash looked interesting, I've never really known what to do with kale. I don't like most meat substitutes, since I don't like the texture of meat😅😂 Milk products, eggs, lentils (always have dried red and green lentils in the cupboard!), beans, tofu, whole grains, seeds and nuts👌👍 Lentil stew/soup is my staple, each time I make it a bit differently; sweet&sour, with cream, coconut milk-y, with canned tomato, green or red lentils, different root veggies, peanuts, topped with sesame seeds, fruits like apple or pineapple, pumpkin or squash, smoky Tabasco, different spices...

In a way I wish my country went into a partial lockdown. I live in Poland and we are also on our new Covid peak... But no one seems to care. People stopped wearing masks, no one uses sanitizer anymore... I am very angry as I am a chronically ill person and I would not like to catch covid because of some anti-vax person here :( The silly thing is that you can't have more than 50 people on a funeral or wedding, but you can go to a club full of people...

I’m very lucky my employer takes Covid far more seriously than the government or general population so we’ve been feeling supported. But I’m the U.K., so madness abounds, who knows what daft thing they’ll come up with next to torment us.

I feel the same way about baking. I don't like having to stick to the reprice. I like using a reprice as a guide line. People find it strange when I say I LOVE cooking but don't like baking. Although being gluten free, and now sugar free if I want something like cookies or brownies I have to make them from scratch. You can find gluten free or sugar free boxed mixes but not both. I currently have some sugar free, and gluten free cookie dough resting in my fridge. Do you just have covid tests at the ready? In the US you go and get tested and have to wait on results.

We have these at home tests that you can use when you have mild symptoms or no symptoms, just to be sure. When you get a positive result, or if you have more serious symptoms you go get an official PCR test.

Since there are only three types of fruit (next to some berries) that i can eat/digest without pain i have peaches in the summer season, pears in the winter season and bananas all year round xD

I'm new to your channel, I'm sorry to hear about your rats. It's so hard losing our little friends. Hopefully as I explore past videos I shall encounter some rats, I miss them so much but I got too allergic so I switched to rabbits... If you'd like a REALLY EASY cake recipe from scratch that is vegan by nature, I use a recipe that I can have mixed and together before my oven is up to temperature. Being North American, I still do a lot of measruing by volume, but it works with this one. I think it's originally called "Wowie Cake" and is intended as a kid's recipe that can be mixed right in the baking dish but I prefer to mix it separately. Preheat oven to 350F (175C). In a bowl, whisk together 1-1/2c (375 ml) flour (literally any kind of flour I've tried works, whole wheat spelt, gluten free), 1c (250 ml) sugar, 1/2 c (125 ml) cocoa powder and 1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda. In a 500 ml measuring cup, measure out 1/2c (125 ml) oil (any kind will work), add 1c (250 ml) water, and 1 Tbsp (15 ml) vinegar. Mix wet ingredients into dry, pour into lined 8"x8" (20 cm x 20 cm) baking dish, bake for 35-50 min depending on your oven, or it makes about a dozen cupcakes that take about 15 min to bake, it's done when a knife or toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
