Thank you for making these videos. I just left a dating relationship due to my partner's uneasiness around herpes along with other red flags of emotional unavailability. He would mention fears of an outbreak after sex & would pull away. Then, he would come back and initiate sex only to have the same pattern happen again without truly open conversation. It took me a minute to figure out the unhealthy pattern that was going on and how it was no indication of me being defective, rather it is more an indication of a lack of emotional connection and communication. That can happen in any relationship with or without herpes.

I met someone who I had to disclose my diagnosis to for the first time and now we're a couple, it is hard to disclose in the beginning of anything new and potential, but no matter the outcome of what a person thinks, your still the same you at the end of the day and disclosure is always the right thing to do.

When I meet a new person I just don’t know how to tell it to them. It sucks you know.I prefer buying time or rather telling them that I’m not ready for a commitment despite the fact that sometimes I have a real attraction towards them 😫😫

Is there any alcohol that is recommended or better for a person with genital herpes? I don't drink much socially anymore but would like to know what is better/worse to consume? :)

The recommendation is usually to use alcohol in moderation as excessive drinking can lower your immune system. Also if you are taking ARV with dizziness as a side effect it might make you feel more dizzy! Listen to your body :)

You have to little by little get to know your body all over again with drinking alcohol, I personally can't drink wine or hard liquor because next day I'll be paying the consequences but I can drink beer all I want and I'm fine! But that's my body. Hope this helps ✌ be yourself always 🌹
