On banana bread's popularity: maybe people are home often enough now to really notice that the bananas are going off and with all that's going on, perhaps they feel guiltier about waste and want some way to use those bananas up? Also, it's a popular treat, but it isn't like cakes/cupcakes, which feel like they should mainly be served at parties. And it's relatively easy to make, so it's good for all the people who've only started baking recently. Oh, and you don't really see it in the store, it's quintissentially homemade. Plus, it *sounds* healthier than cookies, lol. Idk... Those are just my thoughts on possible reasons anyway. 😅

I feel like I need an oven tour. I'm in America, so maybe that's just what they look like in the UK...but it looks very "vintage" to me and it has so many compartments! I just want to know what they're all for and how they work!
@stupidintellect24744 жыл бұрын
Lol I love those ovens too. Here in the UK, you get the really vintage ones called ranges, I'm not sure if people use them now as it requires you to build a fire at the bottom of it. Google them, they're so cute. But Grace's one is the modernised version that you find quite a lot of. I would say, only super modern and newly built kitchens have the eye level ovens that I see so much in American TV. Am I right? Is it more a thing over there? Omg...I've never spoken so much about ovens. 🤐
@ptkake084 жыл бұрын
@@stupidintellect2474 eye level...the only thing I can thing of there would be a microwave oven. There are a lot of those that have a fan system built in to take steam/heat away from the stovetop. The standard "stove" here has four burners for the stovetop (either electric or gas depending on your home) and one oven door that opens with the hinge on the bottom. Then a storage drawer below that. (Such an invigorating oven discussion haha)
@stupidintellect24744 жыл бұрын
@@ptkake08 invigorating... Absolutely! Seems like it's similar then. Are the microwave ovens very popular in America?like I said, we mainly have these stove and ovens all in one, then a separate microwave. Got a question: if you have a stove with more than 4 burners, how many ovens do you have? Eg, my parents have 8 burners, 1 grill, 2 ovens, one that's fan assisted and the other has the hot bar that heats up and becomes red, then the remaining space is the storage. All within one unit. I guess similar to Grace's.
@ptkake084 жыл бұрын
stupid intellect I’d say the over-stove-microwaves are pretty popular here mostly because it allows for more counter space hanging it over the stove. From what I’ve seen here, pretty much all stoves are a standard width, some squeeze in an extra burner or heating area in the middle. I’ve seen some newer ones that instead of one big oven have two stacked on top of each other in the same size unit. Some older homes have too full ovens built into a wall stacked on top of each other and then the stovetop is built into the countertop. That seems to have gone out of style though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as wide as Grace’s here!
@stupidintellect24744 жыл бұрын
@@ptkake08 wow, I didn't realise over the stove microwaves was a thing. We usually put in on a counter or on another appliance, I've seen a few people put their microwave on their fridge. I guess the differences occur because of what's being sold and advertised to us, not because ones better than the other. I personally would love the ovens built into the wall, just makes peering into it easier and lugging a big casserole dish from knee height would be a thing of the past! Let's not mention a hazard for little kids. I'm already worried about my son who's just started crawling. Baby gate time...

I recommend Andalou Naturals. If they’re not available in health stores or elsewhere, then try Amazon. You could try the range for acne but if that’s too abrasive then try the sensitive skin range.
