Some times it's sad to see you have to explain yourself (after having experience an knowledge) due to comments.even after mentioning these very points I often wonder if these comments come from people WHO have never built or have not watched past videos..to see you have wisdom an knowledge..to be able to post positive comments..as for myself I'm deeply grateful for your knowledge on how to build period.. I see these videos as A HOW TOO BUILD.. Blessings

@ Carolyn Moody - I agree with you all but completely. For me, it's not sometimes. It's ALWAYS these days. There have ALWAYS been know it all & "armchair quarterbacks". The big difference these days seems to be that no matter what they want to say, they should be able to say it. To those who would say, I wasn't being g critical or judgemental, I say the only other possibility is that you were ACTUALLY asking a question, NOT questioning the content provider. I do that myself if there's something I don't know how to do what they are doing & I'm looking for WHY it works for them. And, then, most people don't bother with punctuation, which is what normally follows a question. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I can't be the only one raised that way. I appreciate videos like Constance puts out for our consumption. She does things (by herself a lot of the time) that most people wouldn't even attempt. I'm very impressed, AND GRATEFUL for all she takes on & is willing to show us HOW to get it done alone if "alone" happens to be your situation. I'm glad you posted your comment. I think it's high time we stop letting the nasty commenters get away with their pointless comments. Be NICE people!! Life is tough enough for others these days. If you have a question, ASK IT. If you have criticism, just scroll on. You'll find someone who does things the way you like & you don't have to be nasty anymore! Problem solved. God bless and please, remember the golden rule... DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE OTHERS DO UNTO YOU. (My preference I'd to treat others well FIRST. If they reciprocate, GREAT! If not... I did what I know is right.

Thankyou once again, Constance! This shelter would be so versatile. Cover with clear plastic, and you have a greenhouse, cover with chook wire, and you have a chook run, cover with a tarp, and you have a woodshed, a garden tool shelter, a cubby house..... very good. Thankyou for showing us How To. And l commend you for your patience with those who find absorbing both the visual and the audio at the same time, difficult. 👍❤😊

Your bit idea is brilliant! Thank you for sharing that. I kind of want to smack myself in the head for not thinking of it myself🤦🏻‍♀️. I think it’s funny when people freak out when you use your truck for what it was intended. We should start a “my truck bed has scratches” club. One of our trucks is so fancy, she has a plywood bed bottom so we can replace it when necessary🤣. Please do not fret about using your cell phone for a camera. I think it works great. Wind happens, nothing you can do about it. I just really appreciate your videos and you sharing with us. I am learning a lot!🐞

Constance, I went thru a long term illness and was on a feeding tube. I couldn’t do anything, even walk to the mailbox or have a garden. I had to sit for many months on the couch all day. Now that, thru Gods mercies, I survived, I am so thankful to have strength!!! I build my strength by working. Yesterday I hauled and lifted rolls of fencing, fertilizers, and landscape Timbers. And yes I scratch the truck bed. 😂 While some may say I should get my husband to do it, he is at work making the money so I can buy that stuff. I love to build and work hard. Health is to be treasured! Work as long as you can and build and enjoy the outdoors and LIVE!!! Much respect from your online friend in AL. 👩‍🌾💚 Will miss you at Petals this year.

Thank you so much, for making this learning video. I have been wanting to make one of those for a greenhouse, but could never figure out how to frame the ends up, for a door & a window, but this video helped make it clearer for me. One of the best things about this platform is learning how to do things. I'm more of a visual learner, as opposed to reading instructions on a paper. I love your new homestead, it's so beautiful there, with the creek & the woods, & all of the peaceful sounds of nature. I wish I could find a place like that. Have a blessed day!!

Great job! Love watching you build this shelter for your animals. I plan to build me one of these to use as a greenhouse this summer. The one I have is one I bought. It can be taken down and stored until ready to use when the weather gets cold. However, I want to keep it up on a permanent basis. So just curious…what is the length, width and height (at the center inside) of your structure? I am trying to get my head around how big I want to build my Greenhouse. Thanks for sharing your step-by-step process of this build!❤

Constance... I'm enjoying ALL your videos covering your move, but I do have a question about your kitchen in Alabama. I've been looking for a video that showed HOW you made the kitchen cabinet stack with the stock cabinets. I found the video showing that bank of stacked cabinets where your coffee set up had been before, but I thought you did a vid as a "how I did this" video. I just came into some cabinets & you were the first person I thought of! It worked & looked so nice in your old kitchen, I want to do the same in my laundry room! Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance... be careful as you plow thru your "to do" list! You amaze me! God bless you & yours.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi there! I don’t think I have a video on how I did it, I think I just talked about it. There are 6 sets of cabinets, and they are stacked. Then I have screws that go through the backs and into studs in the wall to keep them put. I used small trim boards to hide the line between them, and caulked the seam where they are stacked with paintable caulk. Then I finished the exposed side with faux shiplap and used trim to finish off the edges, and painted it all while. And added handles to the doors. I also cut a few extra shelves from particle board, because those stock shelves only come with one shelf inside. I hope that helps!

@Cosmopolitan Cornbread Thank you! It absolutely DOES help!! No wonder I couldn't find it! Thanks for the step by step info. That will help a lot. I somehow thought you had attached them to each other as well, but I couldn't figure out how you would have done that. I love the final project & really wanted to copy it in my laundry room. Now I can thanks to you. I'm really enjoying your videos - always have, but I've gotta say, that even though I couldn't do as MUCH on my own now as you do, I take notes on all your projects. 25-30 years ago I might have been able to keep up, but you can make me tired just watching some of the time! I'm so happy that you guys found such a great new home & can't wait for all the videos/projects to come! ❤️ Be safe, be well & take care as you make this new place your own! Thanks for the quick response & info. God bless you and your whole family 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you :) When I go to Alabama next week, I will double-check, but I don't think I attached them to each other, other than with the trim pieces. Screwing them to studs in the wall is really going to keep them from going anywhere

I will go out and measure the height of the arch tomorrow and let you know how tall it is. The cattle panel is a standard 16 foot one. The length of the board that connects the two sides is 7 feet. In the garden, I just use t-posts to hold the panel instead of building a frame.

Hawks 'usually' won't fly through Anything that looks like it could snare them. Ben Hollar from The HOLLAR Homestead did a video a couple weeks ago called "The Gateway to Homesteading" which for him is compost. He has his chickens making compost for him and does most of the video inside one of their chicken coops. Starting at about 3:24 you can see what he uses to keep the hawks from flying into the chicken yard. The way you have yours set up, with Premier One fencing, you would probably have to secure the string/rope to tree trunks etc on the outside of your chicken yard. Anyway, just something to help keep the hawks at bay. I use this same method AND a Crow Call. Hawks and Crows do Not like each other so any time I hear or see a Hawk I use my crow call. (mine came with instructions on how to make the correct call) So far every time I have used it the hawks have flown away.
