For some context, this video is focused on providing some knowledge for rucking improvements. Dr. O is suggesting some methods outside of rucking that will actually help with rucking. However, he is not suggesting that you should only strength train and do circuits - you still do need to ruck. When correctly paired, some rucking each week along with some great circuits and lifting together can help you really improve with rucking. Of the courses we discuss, rucking is most relevant at SFAS. Within our SFAS Advanced Phase 1 (coming later this month) and Phase 2 guides, the methods Dr. O mentioned are put into practice. With the workouts in those guides, you'll have the best strategies to not only get better at rucking but improve in the other areas required for success at SFAS.
