Im also a leftie, and pretty similar. I write with my left, shoot with my right, fence with either, but learned with left, eat with my right and use a mouse and keyboard with my right, but use left handed scissors preferentially. I think its called being cross-dominant. Also im insanely hungry and that looks amazing! Edit for spelling!

Maybe every Asian culture is different on this subject but for Vietnamese, Japanese, and a few other cultures... you don't stick your chopsticks into your food but rather lay it on the bowl when not in use. Perhaps it's an old tradition that I've been taught growing up. The reason being that the chopstick sticking into a bowl of rice is used primarily during funerals as an offering for the deceased. I know my gf's chinese family has never said anything when she does it but my friends and I have been taught not to do that growing up as it is viewed as taboo. Love your content :)

@YinkaAbroad7 ай бұрын
Duolingo is how I started, and also buy a textbook, to start learning grammar patterns, download “SuperTest”, that’s good for vocabulary and has exam papers suited for each level of fluency. Start watching Chinese shows and try to copy the sentences they say in the show to get used to speaking with the correct tones, download “Pleco”, it’s a good dictionary. Listen to podcasts and start trying to make a list of new words that you hear in the podcasts, colour code the characters to match what tone they are, so you can comfortably read them when you need to 🙏
