Hello JoJo and Zack, I am an old retired builder who tried market gardening 40 years ago, quick way to go broke!, It is a real pleasure to watch you both work on the farm, your resilience in the face of what you have gone through in your short life and the love you show each other is truly heartwarming. You work hard doing work that is not typically womens' work(PLUS you do the work at at home_)..you support and encourage your man, and you are open about your struggles. I would be proud to call you my daughter and (were I a MUCH younger man) i would be beyond proud to call you my wife. Stay the course my dear. Jordan, I would recommend the Duluth Fire Hose pants. They shed water pretty good and they are cargo pants so you have plenty of pockets to carry things. Only thing is they are a little pricey but if you catch them on sale you can get them for about $50 a pair. I like them and they have lasted me for a good while!

Duluth 5-6 years ago were by far the best pants on the market. I stopped buying them and switched back to dickies and carhart for my work pants. They changed quality of the fabric since about 2020, the duluths dont last nearly as long as they once did. Its a shame, they had it right before, but cheaped out and cater more toward the faux blue collar crowd. Duluth trading co is blue collar fashion now basically. IMHO. Workshirts, esp the longtail tees are topnotch tho. I love the longsleeve ones the most.

I believe those were the Asian beetles instead of lady bugs. They look similar, but they bite. I’m from Ohio and we have them here. I believe they were introduced into SE Ohio/West Virginia like 20ish years ago to feed the wild turkeys.

I would love to see more of the snowstorms that you folks get, over here in Maine it’s a totally different kind of winter but I have always wondered how much snow you get how does it come like we can get a couple feet of snow in one storm and then we can go two weeks without anything so I’d love to see what winter is like there and here, you don’t have to worry about the plunge baths, it all works itself out in the winter

I get what you’re saying about running sprinklers this time of the year. Back when I was farming a lot I had some red onions that I was growing for seed. We had a really dry fall and I ended up needing to irrigate them in early January. That was weird too. The problem was we irrigated them with siphon pipes and the temperature was around 40 degrees. There wasn’t any way to keep our hands warm but it was actually better when they were in the water!

Just a suggestion, instead of climbing up on the generator shed to remove the exhaust cap, get a pole with a hook on the end so you can remove it from the ground or pickup bed.

They are those beetles they released that are supposed to eat the spider mites (i think) in the soybeans. They were more plentiful in my parts a gew years ago. So much so when it turned cold we had to vacuum them up in the corners up around the ceiling at our south back door. We had hundreds up them coming in the house.

Farm food ... When I was a kid, my cousin and I helped an old farmer and his wife on their small farm.. we did chores, slopped the hogs, picked corn by hand, pulled weeds, ... really whatever we were told to do. In return we were allowed to ride our trail bikes on the farm property. We had jumps and a raceway. Kind of like modern Motocross. BUT THE BEST PART OF HELPING..Was lunch. Oh my God. The best food ever. I would love to see a snippet or two of food and friends .

Some of the hunting clothes companies have polyester pants for girls and First Lite is having sales now and irrigation in winter what country are we in what we need is a big snow to get some good moisture in the ground, and yes ladybugs still I was cutting firewood Sunday thinking this is wrong ladybugs laying on the sunny side of the trees, the birds were thinking you for the water 👍✌🏻🇺🇸

I saw that everything is deforested there, in Brazil farmers are required by law to leave 20% of the land with forest and it is prohibited to deforest springs and slopes of rivers and streams. And in the Amazon, 80% of the native forest has to be left behind.
