My partner had his on Tuesday and was the same as you, after about 8 hours got fever, chills and body aches then an achy arm. His fever went over 40 and lasted all night so pretty bad, he felt awful! He's 30 and normally fit and well. We know a few young(ish) people who have had had strong immune responses to it, hopefully means you've got a good immune system! Will have to make sure I've got nothing planned after mine whenever I get it in case I'm the same! Glad you're all better now

I love watching your vlogs and I have also just had the vaccine and had exactly the same reaction as you apart from 5 days later my arm still hurts a bit. But I am hearing a lot of people who have this reaction. Thank you for documenting it as it was quite scary to go through and if more and more people see this then they won’t be as afraid xx

i had the same vaccine as you and had the same flu-like side effects which, like you, didn't start til about bedtime (was fine til then and it started so suddenly). I had a fever temperature and the whole thing lasted about 24 hours. hopefully just means our immune system is working well :)

My first vaccine dose was AstraZeneca and I experienced the chills. Plus headache and very little sleep that night. Slept the next morning. Plus had the sore arm.

I’ve never heard of the AstraZeneca covid vaccine, is that in the UK only?

Had my first shot on March 18 / Pfizer. Bit of nausea , headache from hades and the shivers in the morning after. Not feeling to shabby right now. ( 8:49 pm in USA March 19 ) Me left arm is still sore , but I think all will be good )) Peace and good health for your family :)

I had similar side effects with AstraZeneca, and had a splitting headache for a week! Xx

I had mine yesterday. It was more eventful than I expected. I thought in my head I 100% knew the place where I was told to go for my vaccination. When I got there it had builders there. A builder directed me to where that practice now was. I was panicking because by this time I was already late. I didn’t have to book in. I joined the queue got my vaccination and left. When I got home I found that I had gone to the totally wrong place. I now have no idea where I need to go for my second dose. I had the Oxford and totally expected side effects. I had even prepared an easy meal for the evening just in case. I had a couple of minutes of dizziness, a slight headache that didn’t last long. My arm wasn’t even that sore. I am hoping that I am as lucky with my second dose.

Zoe had hers end jan....she had the pfizer jab....... without any side effects.......lucky her, but a few weeks after she tested positive 🤔 so we all had to isolate, but none of us had any symptoms....luckily 😊

My reaction to the 2nd dose of Pfizer shot, I got acute renal failure and I treated myself with moringa oil rubbed into my upper back and EO of Frankensense rubbed into my upper legs and back to relieve discomfort

Neighbor had Johnson and Johnson flu sick for 10 days. Shocked they told you no paracetamol I took tylenol every 6 hours after shot for 2 days . They said just dont take it before plus drank lots of water. I had maderna both shot slight joint pain tender arm half hour night sweats over in 16 hours. Parents maderna both shots maderna sore arms. 2 sisters and brother phizer both shots no symptoms. Husband little fatigue 1 shot phizer

Wish I’d had Pfizer. Although I guess there’s no way of knowing if I’d have been bad with that one too. Glad you were ok with yours

@@GreenoidAdventure i generally think it’s just how your body reacts to certain bugs, I had a sore arm for a few days but I get a sore arm after every vaccine so that was totally normal for me. I’m hoping though I don’t get bad side affects for the second dose as I have also been told side affects are more common after the second. But whatever we get it will be better than having Covid.

@@GreenoidAdventure no difference with Pfizer. All the hospital staff get Pfizer and the same number of us have felt awful with it. Fairly similar responses to both vaccines.

I didn't get any leaflets or booklets or told in advance of which one I was getting. I had to just turn up and then I had to ask which one I was having. 😢 And I wasn't allowed to book my 2nd, I was told I will be contacted in about 11 weeks time to book my 2nd. 🤔 I had the Pfizer and had no side effects, just a sore arm.

@@GreenoidAdventure thank you yes it is absolutely horrible 😓 I was shivering all night and all day and was like an Eskimo at one stage and then stripped off with fan on full blast with cold air. My temperature has just broke and I got good wash as I was sweating bucket's 🥴Pain during night was like you said absolutely horrible 😓 It's my oldest son and youngest children's birthday tomorrow so I am hoping tonight I sleep and look semi normal in the morning 💓Thanks for sharing your experience it made me feel less alone knowing you had same reaction if you know what I mean 🤦💓

Had Pfizer felt pretty awful with both doses. Though slightly less the second time. Both episodes where no more than 24 hrs. Grateful to have hopefully some immune response now. Cannot imagine how ill I would have got with covid. Also grateful for all the hard work in the science into the newer types of vaccines like Pfizer. My understanding from my friends is that both vaccines seem to have a similar number of is feeling pants. That said most people I know have no or very few side effects.
