Barrister Colin arrives at the barn with boots harking back to his younger, more rebellious days. Bright red and yellow with wings on either side, the style was also rocked by Elton John in the same era. Now nearing retirement, Colin is hoping that cobbler Dean Westmoreland can get the boots groovy again so that he can relive the exciting days of his youth.

I do so hope Colin is able to wear these boot again! My feet have gone from a 5AA to a 5.5B after two children & 40 years. I can remember several pairs of shoes, none so colorful as these boots, that I wish I still had and could have repaired.

I’m guessing the boots 🥾 will be worn only on special occasions and not every day. If they were going to be worn everyday I would definitely agree with you that a re sole should be done. Cheers From California 😊

I would have asked for a vibram sole, something with better tread as these are boots after all.

What a cheap restoration. These obviously needed resoled to get any lasting wear. Very disappointing.

I think he was trying to maintain as much of the original shoe as possible. If it’s a strong glue, it should hold up.
