Great description of the "why" we need different bounces and grinds. Love these types of videos that give us the "why" and how we can apply it to ourselves. 👏👏❤️❤️

Aaron....What a great fitting video. It was absolutely fascinating to watch and listen to you explain your fitting methodologies, philosophies and logic behind your wedge fitting process. Even though my fitting session was fine, I wish I had seen this before my fitting with the Titleist fitter here in AZ just so I could have been more knowledgeable and been able to provide more detailed feedback and ask more knowledgeable questions. Your knowledge and expertise in the wedge arena are second to none and I believe you are a great example for aspiring fitters model. Well done, young man!!

Man I wish there wasn’t snow on the ground where I’m at. I’m ready to start practicing wedges. And wear out some grooves to get some new ones. I can practice wedge game 8 hours a day if I could.

Recently went into the limited V grind in 58. How thats not a main line option is crazy to me. That grind is the truth. Like dead in between M and D grind. Always loved M around the green but not as good out of the fairway. Loved D from the fairway but not as much around the green. V is best of both.

We can't speak for the Vokey team, but if I were to give a reason for reserving the V-grind to the wedge works program, to your point it's very close to both the M and the D grind, and could create some confusion for golfers looking to purchase off the rack -RB
@jacobmccain80829 ай бұрын
@FullyEquippedGolf That argument doesn't hold water when there's already 322 options already haha. But yeah I see your point.

I thought the V would sit more between the T and M but with higher bounce? Similar to the t grind with 9° of bounce that is in a ton of tour bags. They use the T with more bounce but we just get the T with 4? Doesn’t make much sense to me
@jacobmccain80828 ай бұрын
@grahamwatkins3604 Yeah really similar to the 9* T. I love it, best wedge for turf interaction that I've ever had.

@grahamwatkins3604 Where have you seen 09° Bounce T Grind Wedges??? The most Bounce Increase in T Grind that I have seen noted is 0.5° (half a Degree) which adds half a Degree of Loft.

Thanks for the video. When I bought my SM9s, I used their online wedge selector tool and just gamed the ones it’s suggested. Now, I’m at the point in my game where I could benefit from a fitting like this. How did you schedule a fitting like this?

What happens tho if you play t150 and your pw is 44
@FullyEquippedGolf9 ай бұрын
As someone who plays irons with stronger lofts, (including the T150s), the 46 Vokey SM10 (Aaron mentions this around 29:40) gets bent to 45 and that helps solve any gapping issues. Beyond that, if really needed you can bend the 9-iron in your set 1-0.5 degrees weaker if you're looking for specific gaps, but It's much more important to focus on the distance the club flies rather than just the loft since the club center of gravity can play a huge part in launch and spin. -RB

RB glad I found this as it’s very informative and jealous of you getting the full AD treatment. Playing T150 with PX IO and waiting to order the SM 10’s with S200 gap to lob.

I go 48, 52 and 58
@apaulmcdonough21704 ай бұрын
IF you plan to keep the T150 PW in your bag look at the 48° Vokey PW as your Gap Wedge along with considering starting with 54° and 58° for Sand and Lob. These as you have seen here can be easily enough adjusted to you.
