Unless MEPS finds some reason to disqualify me, I'm also headed to the Army. At this point I'm an age waiver, but your videos are definitely motivating this old Devil Dog who's ready to return to the service life!

I have been watching your videos for the past few days and watching you go through the process all over again is really entertaining. I recently graduated high school 5-6 months ago, and now I am leaving for basic January 27 (army). I have chose 92F as my MOS and I am kinda nervous. So what I would really like to ask is, so far how have you liked being a 92F in the army ?

As of right now, Im still in the process of going to my permanent unit so I can’t really say the reality of it yet. But so far from the classes, I like it.. just stay focused and “think like a fox” (you’re gonna hear that from the instructor at AIT school alot LOL) But yeah, so far the content of it is pretty simple and very hands on so i like that part of it.

Really sweet video. I've highly consider the switch of going USMC to army and its nice to see an actually video of it. My first question or maybe you have a video , is how does boot camp work for us i hear osut or ait prety much where did you pick up? Also i see that your married. How does that work for your spouse.

Hey man, I did the inter-transfer program from reserves USMC to active duty army. Since I did not have a break in service - I skipped out on their basic training and went straight to AIT. If you have 3 years or LESS of break in service you can skip out on it too. but if its more than 3 years then you’re gonna have to do their basic training/OSUT. Their AIT now has drill sergeants but as a prior service - its pretty chill - pretty much just going to class. My wife just stayed with her parents until I got hard orders, then we just moved together.

The Ngosy Fam i tried to do an ist back in 2017 but my unit didnt sign off on it. I am also a reservist my mandatory stop drill date is in may. Now just waiting to get out. Is AIT like MCT? Or is it all in one duty station. Does it depend on the mos?

ahh okay, gotcha. and no, AIT is basically like MOS school.. PT in the morning then class the rest of the day

Hey man, I’m thinking about switching over myself. How has your experience been so far? Worth the switch?

My experience so far has been great! For me personally this was my choice in lifestyle so can't complain much here haha. But so far so good, i like it and think its worth it but i cant speak for everyone bc everyone's experience is going to be different, its what you make out of the situation, good luck bro

The Ngosy Fam Thanks bruh. Ive been a Marine for 7 and a half years and selected for SSgt. I’ve just grown bored and I’m not having fun anymore with this. I figured maybe switching to another might give me the juice I need to keep going. Give me something different, new things to learn, etc. Glad you’re enjoying your experience though bruh.

tamjampaul given it any more thought? Got any info? I’m an 0311 and just haven’t gotten to do the things I’d like to do over the years. I love the Marine Corps to death, but the trying to get extra training without begging and waiting and begging and waiting then getting turned down is just..... discouraging. Also I’ve heard from buddies that have switched that the army gives a handsome promotion when transferring. Thoughts?

Kap0311 Sup man, I started the 368 form and got it signed by my Bn CO but the same day my re enlistment got approved and I got approved for my sda for msg with it so I stopped the process. Everyone I know in the army and that has transferred to it are all happy man. If you have the option to go and do something different, I would

@@turkishkman1 What did you want to do as an 0311? If you wish you could've done more but got fucked about by the chain of command instead, I'd finish the enlistment and speak to an Army recruiter when you go on terminal.

chris killaby following your post, I’m also switching from navy to army after a 2 year break. Wondering what the process is like and when do I get uniforms or if I just buy them my self? I’m currently waiting to go to meps to pick a mos. what happens after?

It ultimately depends on your current unit and if they will sign off on your conditional release form. Honestly, mine took about 8 months to get up the chain of command, mostly lack of communication. So I would try to keep an update on that form
