Oh inductions are very common. I was induced for 4 out of 5 of my pregnancies. One of mine (my 4th in 2016) was very similar to your scare. I suddenly had very high BP at my OB, they sent me over to the hospital to be monitored, we also got discharged, but the next week at 37 weeks, I had the same happen, and my OB told me its time to get induced. I dont care if its your 1st or 5th, it still hits you hard! I bawled like a baby too, especially bc I was at my appointment alone and had to go to the hospital by myself (my husband rushed over from work). But it was perfect in the end, and soon your little angel will be in your arms!

We where due around the same time however I got induced due to excruciating back pain and I’m happy to have my little girl in my arms and a huge congrats to you when ur little girl arrives

I got an induction with baby #1 at 38 weeks because the drs were over me coming in too often for contractions. My doctor mentioned that it was basically mandatory for women who made it to 42 weeks. My induction did not work and I had to have an emergency cesarean section. TTC for baby #2 and I won't opt in for an induction again. I had full placenta previa during my first and part of my second trimesters. I think that was the cause for my emergency. Also, my placenta ruptured before the c section. So it was a lot going on.

If your feeling ok then carry on with your pregnancy. But if your having a few problems then do it. I had 3 kids, my first one I had on his due date, and the other 2 went 4 days over. Anyhow. Good luck with it all. And I hope you have the best time. Do what the midwives tell you, they've been doing this a long time. And you will be ok. Xxxxxxx
