In this video, I install, setup, and review the Wifiranger Elite AC Pack. It's so important for me to stay connected to internet while traveling fulltime and this wifi range extender does more than just boost wifi signal. This actually combines multiple internet sources into one connection for my rv to have the best bandwidth available and be able to connect to wifi networks up to 2 miles away. I think this is the best wifi range extender available for rv living.

Most of the channels I subscribe to are RV related, and while I've seen reviews of the WiFi Ranger before, you've covered it better and more in-depth than anybody else has to date. Welcome to the RV community, and looking forward to more great reviews and tutorials.

I think you could run ethernet through coax by Jerry rigging ethernet through powerline ...perhaps there is an ethernet to coax adapter so no drilling...few people use coax in rv anymore

RV issues:) You may just find that part of your new life:) Even with our newer vehicle it seems like we still have them once in a while. We’ve learned to roll with it and know it’s all part of the adventure! If your interested I’ve attached a link to a video we made 5 or 6 months ago that I wish someone had made for us when we first started. I might even have some newbie drone footage in it:) Thanks again and good luck combining your new lifestyle into your channel!

How come it looked like with your Multi-WAN with your speedtests that it looked like it consistently changed ISP between Sprint and Verizon?
@systematic8823
@systematic8823 4 жыл бұрын
It is because the setup it uses chooses between one of the 2 or many aggregated connections to start a connection and then aggregates them after that initial connection. It is why in certain applications/sites you cant use a multiwan setup as it appears that traffic comes from 2 IPs and blocks one, etc and you dont get the speed boost by aggregating

Nice review. Thanks for taking the time to produce. Couple questions. 1) How do you manage to be a full time RV'er? 2) Instead of using wifi signals can you plug a wifi modem directly into the the wifi ranger? Or, is there some other way to combine two internet services into one?
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. 1)Check out my video on this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/enq1iJZ3fNeeiqc 2)You can plug a modem in directly via cat5 cable. You can combine it with another wifi network or cellular to increase bandwidth. Also, on the version I have I can actually connect to 2 seperate wifi networks AND my cell hotspot. I didn't realize I could do that when I made the video. 1 network using the booster antenna (so one far away), one network from the router (so one that would normally be reachable in my camper), AND my Sprint Hotspot. Pretty Cool!

Well......if you had duplicate packages being sent to the same endpoint then it "would' *kind* of being combining the "speed" since your packages are split apart anyways. Duplication would work if you were using it for a particular service, like from the same IP with double packages, it would be faster in that way. That is partially why ping could be faster. (lower ping)

Tim, great video. Two questions for you... 1. If you were to raise your Wi Fi ranger antenna on a higher mast would your signal be better? 2. Have you tried the signal at night when there should be fewer users using it? Thanks and take care.
@TimothySunday
@TimothySunday 6 жыл бұрын
Higher doesn't always mean better. Line of sight is more powerful than altitude. Not sure what you mean when using it at night. Usually, I see the greatest dips in wifi speed at campgrounds between 6-9pm when most people are online. Adding in the internet from multiple sources really helps with this.

Hope you (and now anyone who watches this) understand the difference between Load Balancing and bonding. WFR does not bond. So that means the speed you see from your test was only from one connector and based on the screen shot you show it was from Sprint. Any one device that connects to the WFR will utilize one and only one connector. In your setup that would be Sprint OR the campground wifi not the two of them together. A router that performs bonding will be considerably more expensive.
