been playing for two to three years, had the same feeling, took a break for a month or so and I think my brain was actually starting to crave the challenge and game sense that you need to be good at the game. try taking a break and watching just pro play and the results will amaze you! Then read all champion abilities, matchups, builds, strategies, learn to last hit, ability interactions, warding locations, jungle, when to build what, learn what the soft and hard caps are and all items. After I stopped playing for some time I figured I'd have to relearn everything because I can read the patch notes but how will that help if i can't interpret how things all connect to eachother and what magnitude?

It can be hard returning to League after long absences...Depending on when you return, there's a lot of different resources you can explore to help get you back up to speed. For example, we typically have good rundowns of midseason changes that we make. It can also be helpful to look up other KZbin videos from high ranked players to see what is part of the meta at any given time. Additionally, aggregate sites like op.gg are also good ways to see who's strong and what are good/common build paths. Hope that helps! :)

Thank you for the reply. I honestly don't believe there's a shortcut for making up of months not playing, I'll basically need to start over. The shortest way in my opinion would be reading all champion abilities again because reading patchnotes can be difficult to put in perspective especially with multiple changes, search up tier lists of which champion's good atm and which one's bad (avoiding the patch notes problem) and look up the counters for and against new champions that have been released. Then also read all items what they do and jungle changes in patch notes.

That sounds like a good strat. We don't think you're starting at the very beginning. Since you've played before, the game should feel the same, just some adjustments to things like the jungle, dragons, etc. But we believe in you're ability to pick it up again and do well! :D

I really wanted to get into this game but when I found out you have to wait for a hero to "rotate" before you can try them, I noped out. I'm not waiting potentially a month and a half just to try a hero. Which is especially ironic considering how every guide I read or watch says to keep trying champions until you find one that clicks. No thanks, I don't want to waste a month and a half before I even find a hero I like. I guess I'm too casual for this game. Other MOBAs let you try a hero before buying, so I don't understand what reason Riot could possibly have for not letting you do so in LoL, other than blatant greed. I'm guessing they are hoping you won't want to wait and will buy a hero upfront. Oh well, good luck with that. Pretty shitty practices if you ask me.
