Great video, Rizwan! While I agree with most of your points, I do have a different perspective on the level of competitiveness in training and residencies across different countries. In countries like the USA, Germany and some other parts of Europe, the training process is more straightforward and shorter, with only 3 years required for EM and 6-7 years for Neurosurgery to become a consultant. In contrast, the US and Germany don't have rotational positions or unaccredited years, resulting in a more focused and productive system. The UK is quite similar to Australia, but with easier access to training and higher pass rates, allowing for more attempts at fellowship exams (e.g., 6+1 attempts for IM in the UK vs. 3 in Australia).

Hi, I cant see amc 1 venues in the websites. I guess they make me first get registered and then see the venues. But I really need to see if there is an exam center in Istanbul. How can I see exam venues ? Thank you 🙏

search for PEARSON exam centre and then select AMC 1 there are centre in Istanbul. There are more AMC 1 centres compared to PLAB1

You might be able to get good time accreditation of your radiology practice in pakistan but may have to re- take fellowship exam here in Australia

As a medical student in indonesia prospecting to work in Australia as an IMG in the near future your channel has been very usefull for me in getting concise and detailed information about the medical field in Australia, thank you doctor. Doctors here in Australia mostly after final years of training or after local Australian fellowship go over and spend time for post graduation in the UK for 12-18months to help get a better job in Australia for a good overseas experience

If you want to work as a GP, you either have to opt for standard pathway, attempt AMC exams and then attain full GP registration or pass equivalent MRCGP Int degree from your country and then apply for the GP PEP Pathway. Hello Dr Rizwan, Im currently a 4th year Medical student in Pakistan, and I'm trying to decide whether to give the PLAB after 1 year of housejob, and stay in the UK for training after FY2, or give the PLAB and apply for training in australia after completion of FY2. However the issue I'm dealing with is that I'm interested in Radiology, and I'd like to go for the route that allows me the ability to get training to become a consultant of radiology (inshallah). Dr Rizwan ,thank you for uploading such an informative video.I need your advise that is there any age limitations of getting into any fellowship in Australia or like USMLE do AMC prefer fresh graduates? I have been working as GP in Pakistan for last 14years and have done MCPS and MRCGP (int),now want to do AMC and go for GP fellowship in Australia.What are my chances of getting into it?

Yes, through competent or specialist pathway. If you have comparable licensing qualification such as USMLE or Plab, you can opt for jobs. Or if you have specialist qualification that is recognized in Australia, you can directly work as a senior doctor in Australia!
