For cheap markers, you can use the Creature Deterrents which shows up in the map. You can make Antibiotic Potions and Health Potions with Honey and Charcoal now. You don't need Yeast or Reed Flower. Also you can get Yeast outside the Lower Snow Biome, in Green Biome. Also there are problems in stacking Dirt Foundations. So wood/aluminum Ramps are still the best options to carry in a cave. You need to take care of the BeeHives before you approach them. They release the bees once you are near them. If you shoot them with Arrows/Bullets from a distance then they do not release the bees.

YES! Make your own map. I did and it is totally lore friendly. Airial photography is older than airplaines so a blanko map that we carry in our suit pocket and update as we find them is real. Also, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT and, CARPETS ARE YOUR FRIEND. (can't sleep well without a nice fluffy carpet close to your bed) Finally, those dirt ramps are nonsense, once you have the machining bench go for alu everything, no weight, quite storm resistant and you can haul a lot to build whatever the occasion requires. Juist tear down when you are done with it (without doing a splatsie ;-)

Yesterday I found that the carved wood furniture (may be a DLC) gets you a bed, tables, and some decorative stuff for a single blueprint point rather than a point each for them otherwise.

2:54:00 By simply giving the Handwelder and -grinder an actual radius of welding (so that you don't weld/grind only one block at a time, but a bigger area of it). Best in combination with a toggle to change it to only weld / grind that one block you're looking at. Another thing that would help is if they're compounding blocks together, so if you put 8 25cm blocks together in a cube shape, they "become" a single 50cm block and you only have to weld that single 50cm block. Also, your current grid-size for placing blocks could also be used for the welder and grinder, so that you weld/grind everything as if they're 50cm blocks or as if they're 5m blocks (or anything in between, depending how many grid sizes for building they implement).

This is a good game - there's 2 things that always bothered me about this though: at some point, you realize there's no point to going further, because the missions were over too fast, and you barely needed to finish most of the stuff to do it. The other thing, is that the animations for both MOBs and Player, are about 2 decades old in terms of quality. Hopefully the new missions address that a bit, and they update the feel of the game to be less like Doom 1. I guess there's 3 things... once I had a cool base setup, I was getting like 35fps on a 3090... even after turning down the settings.

@Splitsie The cave worms might actually be the answer to the cave-lung-but-can-breathe-underwater issue. Cave worm droppings are what carry the bacteria that gives you cave lung. They don't exist under water, but much like you can get diseases from drinking the water, you can catch the bacteria from the cave worms leavings. The humidity of the caves, or being under water overwhelms the filters, allowing bacteria through.

Flare arrows are great for cave exploration. Makes everything visible with the only drawback being green washed colors

herding cats is easy . . . first get a border collie . . . then get a flock of sheep . . . now just nail the cats to the sheep and . . . TADA!

ALWAYS stay near the target zone on hunt missions. The game usually spawns 3-5 of the prey at a time. Kill them, leave the zone for 5 mins then go back in for a fresh spawn. The reward pod usually drops in the target area too.

Buy the Inaris Pick from the workshop for -50% weight penalty and get an oven to make Strawberry/Watermelon Lollipops for another -50% Weight penalty. They do stack.

The reason you were getting those wolf spawns is that the central grasslands of Prometheus includes two areas that are forest, rather than grassland, biome. Fridge logic for the combination of cave lung and unlimited time underwater: Your suit has air bladders and possibly artificial gills, giving you enough swim time to have it not be worth tracking. However, they still draw from the contaminated environment. A mapping suggestion: Make the text for caves and open-air deposits different colours so that you can more easily use the map for remembering where caves are.

1st thing in a tallents for me is Survival Tab -just like you I want maximum weight capacity, then i whant weight reduction talents for tree,stone and ores also in the 1st column you have talent that automatically collects the wood when you cut it (devs Thank You so much for this talent),2nd im go for bow talents and guns, whatever points are left after that are for speed, stamina, and maybe some extra HP also try to unlock the talents for making rope from a leather and breaking wood into sticks those 2 are important and they saved me from many risky situations

So I've been playing a bit lately, and one of the frustrating/funny things that happens is that a buffalo tries to path through a large boulder near my house. It is close enough so that it sounds like a beast trying to eat my house or one of my machines thumping.

i agree with the highlight animals whilst alive, but what i'd give for a highlight for the corpse and my arrpws/spears. the amount of times i've lost things in shrubbery and grass in Skyrim and other games is most unhappy for me.

They had bears spawning in caves before the cave worms were introduced, I kinda wish they kept it as a rare thing in caves and in those ones the cave worms would be suppressed - the jump scares were fun :D

I really want to like this game and I think the Devs genuinely care. But for me this game is a lot like Space Engineers in that I get to a certain tech level or finish whatever build/ship and think "ok I've done the thing now what?" And go play something else. Both games just don't really have compelling late game at least for me.

I play Icarus till I don't feel like it anymore. Then I go to Space Engineers till that doesn't do it anymore. Then I go back to Icarus. Rince, repeat.

For me that later part is normally filled with decorative building so I totally get where you're coming from. It's an issue with all survival games that I've played to varying extents - "is the point where it's no longer survival actually fun?"

Given how stinky my character has been in stationers, it's definitely a good thing
