I don’t remember those messages on the ladder at 6:00 when I was initially in this mine several years ago. Don’t even remember that ladder. Yeah, it’s always odd coming across discarded shoes inside of a mine. After watching all of your footage, it’s amazing how massive this mine really is!

That ladder was tucked away. Easy to miss. Can’t believe how extensive this was. And we didn’t even climb up, only down!

Since the bags end at that large pile of dirt, Maybe the person that filled the sample bags fell prey to a back cave in and is under the pile of material.
@Miner49er18 ай бұрын
Oof, that's not a pleasant thought! Let's hope that's not the case!

Awesome video but mysterious. Be safe my friend. Always an adventure watching your explorations.

I love this hobby and exploration in general. I wish I had the opportunity to have such adventures. But I'm having a hard time due to work pressure these days. Thank you for the good videos ❤

Time 7:10-when are you going to get knee pads🤔🤣//those sample bags are probably marking where the rocks were taken from.
@Miner49er17 ай бұрын
I think you’re right about the sample bags. Knee pads are on my list, but it’s a long one.
@michaelshubr40848 ай бұрын
The samples are where they were taken at, and they will come back later and mark each sample location to the bags before collecting them. Some mine locations have hundreds, or thousands, of samples collected. Also, wall was marked “Hi Grade” which is a clue about the samples-not strange at all! I’m the go up the ladder guy!
@Miner49er18 ай бұрын
Big grade, huh. Interesting! After talking with Frank, we realized that those bags have been there for over ten years. Thanks for sharing this information!
@michaelshubr40848 ай бұрын
@@Miner49er1 Their operation was obviously cut short, and the samples taken, were never collected up. On Gly Coolness’s channel, he’s recorded sample shacks with thousands of samples and rooms filled with unopened bags-this process was going on continuously during active mining.
@Miner49er18 ай бұрын
That makes sense. Mines went through turbulent times quite often.

if it is talc there could be asbestos, that's no good. maybe the fuzzy cotton looking mineral is possibly precipitated ulexite. I used to have a small sample. I don't know about the solid stuff I can't see it well enough; I don't know where you are exactly so that makes it difficult for me to precisely identify things. not that I expect you to reveal that, but it's a factor. minerology isn't really my thing. I could totally be wrong, I'm not fact checking myself here. those grease cans you often find, I believe were used to lube ore cart rails where there were curves. I might consider going up the ladder, but I'm a 250lb guy, I'd feel more comfortable if I were not quite so heavy. if I could get back down to 215lb I'd be more agile, I'm just too fat for all that currently. I can tell you when climbing ladders like that don't use the rungs with your hands hold the sides as best you can.
@Miner49er18 ай бұрын
Great info! Those ladders looked pretty good, but who knows. The bit about holding the ladder in the sides is good advice. Thank you!

That sucks about the accident, but it’s awesome about you walking again! Way to go!

I stopped watching frank because he talked too much about things that I don’t need to know about or hear, stay out stay alive(while he goes in🤔 6:24 🙁) dangers, leave it cleaner than it was before you were here, etc and on and on. I do happen to know that I am safe in a mine then in a car, plane or the streets of San Francisco, but he doesn’t say anything about that., so shut up frank and have your fun just making videos., that’s what I like. Everyone has become a do-gooder since going on yT and making videos. You are definitely fun to watch and you don’t really talk about any of that stuff!
