I used my grill for the first time a year ago and worked perfectly. Unfortunately when I went to use it again the flame was very low so I thought that my grill was defective so I had basically had given up on. I never went back to the store to returned it so I thought that I had lost the 400 dollars I had spent on it. Today I saw your video and I followed your steps and it worked!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video

The 1st video I watched showed me exactly how a regulator works - decreasing about 150 psi at the tank down to about 1 psi at the burner tube. Interesting video - he sawed the parts apart with a bandsaw, and showed valves and spring stuff. But what he didn't explain was why I had about 270 degrees when I normally had about 650-700 degrees. So I got to your video next, and saw my mistake, and how to fix it. Firstly, I had left one of the burners on, accidentally - so the 1 psi was depleted. The regulator couldn't recover out of protection mode with the 150 psi applied. Followed your steps, and BINGO - I'm a happy griller again. Great video... I won't forget the process steps on how to reset a regulator again. 😉

AWESOME!! We have the 17" blackstone and bought a new 5lb tank, smaller than the big 20pounders, but, bigger than the disposables. But, I kept getting low flow. After seeing your video, I tried opening the valve very slowly, instead of very fast like I usually did, and it appears to have resolved the issue, once, at least. If it works next time, then I'll believe it!!! Thanks again!!

Works like a charm! I've ran into this issue numerous times. Usually ended up just disconnecting everything and trying again with varying degrees of success. I think I was doing it too fast. Not giving it the 30 seconds. Either way, the 30 second wait combined with the slow operating of the valve seems to work great. Thanks.

Thanks for the info.!!! I have a grill with the same problem. I decided to replace it with a 22" Blackstone Griddle like yours. Just picked it up yesterday from Walmart. It's still in the box sitting in the back of my pick up. I'm hoping your info will bring my other grill back from the dead. I'll still keep the Blackstone too, though. I'm looking forward to using it! Call me old fashioned, but I just hate to throw things away. It's only three years old with very little use on the maybe five or six trips we go camping a year. Thanks again!!!

This happened to me while grilling. Tank ran out. Swapped tanks to recently refilled full tank. Then My Weber Genisis wouldn’t exceed 200f. My Temp gauge may be off. Checked all connections for debris. Disconnected tank but NOT for 30 seconds. Called propane supplier-no help. Then I typed “low flow” into the rectangle of knowledge. Should have done this first. 30 seconds later the grill is back to max heat. Thanks for posting!

just what I needed. I've had this happen many times over the years and by sheer luck of taking the tank on and off finally got it working. Now I know the issue. Something worth noting. I live someplace that gets cold in the winter months and this issue seems worse in cold months. Meaning I think it takes longer for that "Slam" valve to open again when it is 10 degrees outside. I can say this issue is common when people change tanks because they generally let there LP run out, and just pull the old tank off and try to reignite the new tank without all the turning off of burners.
