Very. Good info.. a few things 1. a marriage license purchased in California can be used ANYWHERE in California and not just the county it was purchased from, 2. these are not courthouses, they are located IN some courts but have no judicial power. Otherwise great info..

Hi! I have a question. I live and will get married in LA County but due to the pandemic there is are no appointments available and walk ins are not available. I'm having a religious ceremony on October 16, 2020 and the priest will be the officiant. The church is in LA County but they are sending me to San Diego to get my marriage license since LA County is booked. Does that mean I also have to get married in San Diego?

Hi Crystal! ooh thats a great question, this pandemic has made things so tricky. I would find out from LA county if they are just sending you to SD solely to pickup the license or if SD is now the issuing county, b/c that will make a difference

What if you don’t mail it after 90 days of the ceremony?? And what if only one partner sends the license?

You already are married through engagement. Why divorce now?
