ahhh i’m so glad to have finally gotten my braces off and share with y’all my experience! thanks sm for watching! question of the day: do you have, have you had, or will you have braces and for how long?

Hey hey Hope! I completely agree with the whole “I didn’t follow the rules for the food” thing. I literally eat popcorn ALL THE TIME and it’s fine lol. Also, I always get the hot pink color for my braces and love it! 💗

haha yeah as long as you’re kind of careful you can eat almost any food. and i love hot pink for braces!!

Ahhh congrats! It’s so awesome that you got your braces off!!! That’s so much fun! I got my braces today, and ahhhhh my teeth hurt SO much. I might need that tooth surgery chain thingy, but only if two of my teeth don’t come in. I got my braces bands in teal, and I love the color! I think that I’ll do hot pink next or hot pink and teal! Again, congrats on getting your braces off! Thanks for the braces tips!

Hey, congrats on getting them off! big accomplishment! so excited for you. A few questions though if u don’t mind? 1. How were your gums during the braces? 2. What did your dentist think of ur teeth when u had braces? 3. And lastly, Did u need any fillings during your braces experience? I heard it’s easier to get cavities with braces. thanks!! first, my gums didn’t usually hurt, but when i got my braces off, they were swollen. two, my dentist never said anything bad about my teeth while i had braces, and no i didn’t have to get any fillings

Your braces are so pretty on you! I just got my full set on today (metal ones) and an herbst appliance. It feels so wierd but im used to them ! How do you like your braces though? Do you like the way they look? Idk I like the way mine look!

I currently have an expander and it's AWEFUL!!!! It's really hard to swallow even your own spit but after some time it gets easier. But I had to "crank" it or "turn" it twice a day. I literally will cry every time! It's so painful! Also it leaves indents on your tongue wich hurts at first but it will form a callus almost? MY TIPS FOR EXPANDERS: -only drink smoothies,drinks,and liquids for the first days -when swallowing put your tongue to the roof of mouth (it helps) -take Tylenol about 45 minutes before "cranking" or "turning" -NEVER press your back teeth or jaw area together hard! It will hurt!

Hi! Great Video! I got my braces on about 2 years ago and will be getting them off in the fall, so after summer! I’m excited but also not lol! I have had a myobrace, 2 adult teeth pulled, rubber bands, top and bottom braces, chains, and an expander. (That is not in the order I had the stuff) Anyway, you look so good with them off, but you also looked good with them on!

i didn’t usually have too much trouble with that. to prevent that i tried to just brush my teeth really well

Hey Hope. Thanks for doing this video. I'm a senior in high school who was supposed to get her braces off in June. Only, I didn't wear my rubber bands in the last few months and the ortho made me wear them over the summer to catch up. Here's the weird part, I started dating a guy this summer who tells me how awesome I look in the braces and he really doesn't want me to get them off! I was supposed to get them off on Friday but bailed from the appointment. Is it weird that I've actually grown to like how they look and not want them off? I hope it doesn't sound too weird but curious what you think as you seem to like them from your cool videos! Thanks so much! - Teenie

I had the same surgery on one of my molars! The reason I got braces was to attach the chain to another tooth so it would pull the other upwards. It’s super cool cause I never thought anyone else had gotten it! 😂

I do have an appliance so like I have to go every month and it’s so annoying. I don’t even eat candy anymore XD.
