I just paused the video: the moment you said „I’m gonna finally do it and claim responsibilitt for my body and myself” I just had to push that thumbs up. I know what you mean by always doing what others (your closest!) „want” you to do (and consequently don’t want to do) and how important it is to make those decisions yourself despite what you loved ones think. I just got my 8th tattoo and it’s a monstera deliciosa leaf. Tattoos definitely aren’t accepted by majority of my extended family, and when I first got one, it felt so freeing because I was finally in control of what I had on my body. I’m a tattoo “collector” now and I’m so close with my artist (who’s a woman too ✊) and it feels so rad. I used to self harm because of a lot of internalized pain and sadness. But whenever I did self harm, there was no beautiful result at the end, just pain and regret and sadness. Getting tattoos has completely helped me overcome that. I love the experience and having a beautiful outcome afterwards❣️ congrats, Jamie! This is such a special moment and I’m so glad you shared it with us!! She’s beautiful 🐺

Black rose looked like an upscale beauty salon rather than your more typical somewhat seedy-looking tattoo parlor. So nice! I’m glad you feel comfortable making big decisions based on your own feelings. Advice and opinions from those we love and trust can be helpful, but ultimately only we know our own souls and what would be best for us. Sometimes we may make mistakes but that is part of learning who we are and growing as an individual. So good for you and congrats on getting what you’ve been wanting for so long. Jamie this is so great - what a great choice for you. I think the wolf really speaks to your independence and an inner strength that has always come through from both your videos and working with you in person. The flowers are beautiful - and I've been following Black Rose Tattoo and Christina for a long time so I was super excited to see that you chose them! I have 3 tattoos - 1 is a sun that sits just above my pants on the side of my waist (it's representative of the cyclical nature of life, and and is a source of energy and positivity), 2 is a petunia on my wrist that's for my dad (he has always called me his little petunia) - and 3 is a silhouette of a huge pine tree on a hill near where I grew up, it's just above my ankle on the back of my leg, and my 3 close friends and I all have the same on in different spots (for me it represents being rooted and knowing that home is where the people you love are). I love the idea of naming her - something strong and magical for sure. So happy for you and thanks so much for making into a cool vlog :)

I have a few tattoos. My first ever is the biggest regret, a monster sign from the monster energy drink which is on my leg. My 2 ND tattoo was amazing and therapeutic, it's a broken dreamcatcher with pops& Gramps (my dad n grampa) with their birthdays and death dates. It's pretty big. My 3rd tattoo I got for my mom which says momma with a dreamcatcher and a bear paw inside of the dream catcher. My mom was so happy that I got it for her and she passed away about a year after I got it so yeah I'm very proud of them. My 4th is my son's name and my 5th is my child's father's name. For me tatts are very therapeutic and yeah now I want another. Thanks for bringing us along.✨✨✨

i was up until 6 am (idk why i’m awake now) but i’m in tears. tattoos are apart of my own personal journey. i have around 13 tattoos and recently deceived on more of a theme. i want to be a garden because i’m constantly growing like one. thank you for taking us along in your journey. there’s an artist around here that does a very whimsical line work but his dogs come out so soft but so detailed. i want to get my girls face since she’s my first all my own dog and my heart. my first tattoo is on my ribs and it’s a watercolor poppy flower for my grandfather we called poppy. i also have my dads handwriting and plan on getting my moms. once my niece and nephew get a little older i want them to do a little doodle or write their nicknames and add that just so i always have them with me. i’ve always struggled with mental health and the time that my nephew came around he saved my life basically and my niece (she has special needs because she has a sensory disorder) taught me truly unconditional love. so glad you’re in love with your first tattoo! can’t wait for you to fall in love with the process and become covered ❤️

Ahhhhhh so beautiful!!! I have a few tattoos and the ribs and top of the foot were definitely the most painful of locations I'd say. Less fat/tissue was what I was thinking lol. One of the ones I have on my ribs is a a bunch of lotus flowers with a butterfly at the top, just symbolizing opening up and being true to myself. If I remember correctly in Egyptian culture the lotus flower symbolizes rebirth and was fitting for me at the time. I think you should name your wolf Luna. 😊. So happy for you!!! 💕

It’s beautiful and I love the meaning. Iam telling you babe they are so addicting. My first 20 years ago was a tiny daisy on my shoulder, no meaning I was just a young kid. Then I did a bracelet of flowers around my ankle(my grandmothers favorite flowers). Next on my wrist my husband and I added our names. I know they say that’s a big no no but it’s been 15 years and we are still going strong. Over the next decade I had 6 kids so no tattoos. Then in July I lost a baby at 5 months so on my ribs(most painful EVER) I have the Celtic mother and child symbol with his name. At the same time of morning him I wrote on my shoulder with pain comes strength. I have a rose on my finger because on my husband and I first date he gave me a white rose. And on my forearm I have my children’s initials. And yes I want more. They are such a form of expression. Growing up I had a wolf/German Shepard dog. And boy do I miss him. I like the name aspen, Kia, nadia(means hope), dakota(means brave unbeatable warrior),sky, willow, and luna(moon and wolves have there connection with the moon. Absolutely a beautiful piece

I got my first tattoos at 16 and my mom didn’t want me to get them either because they aren’t meaningful whatsoever. However, I’m now 25 and even though they have no real “meaning”, I still love them and don’t regret them at all. Even if the art is something she cares about years later, I bet she’ll still love them. I know I do. The meaning for me was that I had my independence to choose what I wanted and now when I look at them I feel proud about my choices and it always gives me a good giggle that I have a hibiscus flower and shooting stars for no reason other than I thought that they were cute 😂

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!! I have 6 tattoos, but my favourite one is a daisy and a blue butterfly on my forearm for my mom. She passed away a little over 2 years ago and her birthday is actually in 2 days. I also have a willow tree, lightning bolt, heart, and quote on my ribs :)

She's a good tattooer! You can tell by the clean lines (its hard to do clean lines with a single needle) ...also the specific tattoo design is reeeallyy pretty!!!

I just got my first tattoo a few weeks ago, at age 27, and I've been regretting it since the day after. Serious depression and anxiety. You have no idea how much this video has helped me feel more at peace with my tattoo. I got mine in the same place as yours, it's a little smaller, but just seeing how awesome and beautiful yours looks makes me look at mine with this new appreciation. Getting my first tattoo next week. A butterfly on my shoulder, for a friend who passed away so its to remind me of them but represents living life because you never know how long it’ll be. I really relate to how you said you have people around you who would tell you their opinions about things are you really take it to heart. I am the same way. I’m not even nervous for the tattoo, I’m more nervous because I know others won’t like that I got it. Thanks so much for this video!

that's exactly the same reason i got my tattoo... my first one in november og already the second planned in January. my life, my body and it makes me happy every time i see my tattoo. I was so worried about what other people thought about what I did in my life, but i've completely changed this year, so a tattoo for me made sense. So much happier to live my life how I want to and worry about what other people think.
