Okay, as someone that works in the tattoo industry.. the last tattoo was horribly done. The stencil was amazing, however if you pause the video on the up close shots.. it's shocking at how badly the line work was. There were blow outs, inconsistent lines and it was just... hard to watch someone that has amazing talents, execute a tattoo that looks like an apprentice did it. If he is happy with it, that's great! BUT for $875 and a "year long wait list" That piece should have been flawless.
@Meccarox8 жыл бұрын
BluModifier I agree. The execution was pretty bad even though the actual drawing looked good.

I agree with this so so much. Th composition was great, but the execution was appalling. The shading was inconsistent and the lines aren't sharp.... Click bait. An 80 dollar small tattoo will still be high quality. You should have gotten 2 similar size tattoos one for 80 the other for 800. The title makes it seem like you are going to show the difference between cheap tattoos and expensive ones. Its like saying 100 dollar paint job vs 2000 dollar paintjob and the 100 dollar paintjob being on a bike while the 2000 is on a car.

The wrap can be taken off at any point after you leave the shop. Tattoos are wrapped one for the shops sake of keeping it clean, and two for legal reasons. Health codes and things of that sort.
@samanthabent93668 жыл бұрын
I was bothered too. Not only did he not wrap it, he wasn't applying ointments and kept getting more work done. I'm not an expert on tattoos, but I have gotten two, the shop has given me and my boyfriend, a care sheet and it tells you to keep it wrapped for at least a week so it doesn't get infected or wet cause it's pretty much an open wound. Also to apply ointment and lotion to prevent itchiness and keep it moist.
@skyewithane94098 жыл бұрын
They don't film it all on the same day and the tattoos looked healed when they were in the car so the likelyhood is this video took a few weeks/months to film
@skylarmarie40058 жыл бұрын
Samantha Bent I have never heard of keeping a tattoo wrapped for more than a few hours. In fact, if you did keep it wrapped for too long it could get infected from excess sweat and moisture being trapped in the bandage. Tattoos may be a type of wound but the care is much different from any other wound you could get unintentionally.

It always depends the time they work with you, the size, the color. There's alot that actually goes into the price. If he would have gotten a bigger tattoo. It easily would have gone into the 1500 rage to easily over 2000.
@hondapride595 жыл бұрын
In all reality he got a better bargain than the elevator piece and in the end a much better tattoo. 6 hours or so of time for 875 isn't a bad deal at all when you see a lot of black tattoo work at around 1500 an hr

@@honey3202 I have a few tattoos and am intrigued by the craft in general. I'm certainly not an expert on tattoos, but it's usually a rule of thumb in life that someone who practices something for only a year and talks like they know more than everyone about it is usually naive and has a world of knowledge to still learn. I liked how the tattoos came out and the whole concept of having each tattoo artist adding on to the previous artwork, from two simple stars to a galaxy, to having a detailed face tattoo right above the galaxy. The whole process is just amazing, seeing how the artists come up with ideas from their minds and their client's requests. The tattoos look great and they hold a significant meaning to Ben, its a win-win xD!

$875 for that last tattoo, they hyped the guy up to be a tattoo god.... honestly, it was a decent piece, I guess.

800$ for that honestly seems worth it for a meaningful and deep tattoo

I think the space one would have looked a lot better with color tbh. Like, purple, blue and dark pink.

Kailee Gilbride yeah it looked way better when the guy drew it in purple

That's an $875 tattoo?! My sister got quoted $900 for a cartoon t-rex in a tea cup! I'd fly to LA just to get a tattoo from that guy, jesus christ!

Ye tattoos where I live can be quite pricey too. Someone I know paid I think 190 for like 10 words maybe about the size of an average persons palm. But when I was in Florida it was wayyyyy cheaper.

kelly Martin Just call the guy up to make your illustration of the tattoo. The tattoos.... The outline is very shaky and messy find a tattoo artist with better line work.

AdraicStarks He's called Ötzi. He's a Bronze Age man from Switzerland
@jennputman27217 жыл бұрын
AdraicStarks A lot of Ötzi's ink was actually meant to be sort of proto-acupuncture, as it's right where he would've suffered pain from arthritis and other joint pain his modern autopsy revealed. Kind of cool. There's also a Siberian "ice princess" (ice mummy) with some sick ink - prettier than Ötzi's, I gotta say.
