This seems like such a mature breakup, I hope it stays that way. You can see that they're clearly still interested in each other romantically. I had a breakup like this not too long ago and everything seemed to be going well, it seemed like the perfect mature breakup and we remained close friends after the split, but from my experience, it's really important to take some time to be apart, even if it's just a few days. It's risky to stay too close of friends when you're still interested in each other, there will be expectations from both sides without even saying them out loud, without even realizing it. It's hard to let each other go when nothing bad happened to break you guys up, but just be careful to not get too attached again.

I believe if you two are meant to be you’ll be back together when the time is right. Me and my boyfriend broke up after 5 years, I become extremely unwell with anorexia (while being together) and a lot of other health issues that stopped us working out - we broke up to grow as individuals even though we loved each other so much, there are no words to describe the pain of them years. Fast forward a year of being broken up with no speaking or seeing each other I had gained back 30kgs that I had lost over 6 months. We happened to run into each other in our local town (didn’t speak). That night he had messaged me saying how well and proud he was of me and now fast forward 2 years we are back together happy and healthy in our own house growing together. I really believe that things are meant to happen at the right time my darling xx
