Thank you for this video. Tomorrow, we pick up our new baby toy poodle. I am so excited to finally hold her! We also have two sisters (Pomeranians) waiting for her at home. One is very shy 12 years old and her mama who is 15 years old, and is very nurturing. We have done everything here to welcome our new baby girl that we know to do, thanks to videos like yours. Everyone has been pressuring me for her, but like you I want to wait until I meet her to see what name fits her. Thanks again! ❤

What a cutie! I have a ruby colored Cavalier King Charles. I adopted him when he was 3. He just turned 17. I don't really kn ow anything about Cavapoos. im thinking about getting a cavapoo or a cockapoo, what do you suggest?

I know I am biased here, but I would say a Cavapoo for their extra loving demeanor..especially if you are in the US..American cocker spaniels have been very overbred here, and many lines have anxiety and snappyness here (see “what’s good about em, what’s bad about em” website) Cavapoo are generally a little smaller as well if that is a factor for you. My very best advice is to see the dog in person and evaluate temperament for yourself, do not take the word of anyone, even reputable breeders, who in the end must move dogs by 8-10 weeks when all is said and done! Let us know how it goes! ♥️

Why did you choose a Cavapoo? Is he healthy? I was thinking about getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel but I have read that it is not a healthy breed. Now I am considering a Cavapoo because it might be healthier with the poodle component. What do you think? Does he bark a lot?

This is one of the main reasons I got a Cavapoo; to try to mitigate the health problems which are so many with the CKC! Heart problems, syringomyelia (by 6 yrs of age, 70% of cavs will show signs of this according to Spot Pet Insurance!! 😮), etc. Sawyer does not bark a lot at ALL, he only barks when people pass in front of our house! I’m used to very healthy dogs, and did not want to take on a full breed that has so many issues! The mixing can only help in this regard, imo. Good luck!

Are you sure your dog is a cavapoo? Looks more like a cavalier pure breed to me. Cavapoos don't tend to have as long ears.

Mom is a Cavalier, dad is a mini poodle, that makes him a Cavapoo! Genetics dictates that any 2 dogs bred to each other can produce any range of the parent dogs genes and physical characteristics! He’s a “flat coat” Cavapoo, they are def more rare, but certainly occur! 🐾
