Ted, why have the N number on both the tail and on the fuselage? 🧐
@Over50andLearningToFly4 жыл бұрын
To flying to the Bahamas I need 12 inch letters on my fuselage and the old smaller letters were from the late 60s early 70s

@@Over50andLearningToFly To clarify, It's the flight inside the ADIZ that creates the 12 inch N-Number requirement.. not the Bahamas.. you have to cross the ADIZ to get there.. any flight in the ADIZ regardless of destination requires 12" N-Numbers.. aircraft registered before 1981 or built before 1983 as well as experimental/homebuilt can legally fly with the smaller numbers within the US... certificated aircraft can until they repaint.. then they have to comply with the 12" rule too.. Some pilots who find the big numbers unsightly choose to put temporary 12" numbers on for the trip then remove them.. That's what I did when I would take the Glasair in the ADIZ..

@@texastyrannyresponseteam794 Thanks! I called AOPA and they just said I need 12" numbers to get into the Bahamas...

@@Over50andLearningToFly They were right... no way to get there without crossing the ADIZ.. enjoy the trip... island hopping is alot of fun... don't miss Pig Beach on Big Major Cay... you can fly into Staniel Cay Airport (MYES) and take a short boat ride to the beach with the swimming pigs...

Whiter than Joe Biden's teeth? LOL. I'm guessing those N Numbers are able to finish a sentence without making a fool of themselves though...

@@Over50andLearningToFly Understandable but, unfortunately you can't turn on the TV, or KZbin without getting pelted with something political. You made a funny...I made a funny. In fact, I didn't mention politics at all. Just referenced the same famous guy you did. Thanks for your videos.
